@edgarryan

thanks for the info bro. tama kayo, hirap magtipid, minsan sakit sa ulo ang kapalit.  ::)

But the satisfaction naman pag gumana nang maayos yung gears mo, di mapapantayan yung ginastos mo.

mm and mc are the common types of cartridges. the cer probably stands for ceramic, which isn't that common today. the cartridge to use would depend on what type of phonostage your amp has. from your description of your amp, your choices are limited to moving magnet [mm] cartridges.

you say that no sound came out when you connected your tt to the phono input of your amp? if you are sure that you selected the correct input in your amp, check the connections, including those on the cartridge. there might be something loose.
peace man!

Was the amplifier checked for defects?

Yung MM (moving magnet) and MC (moving coil) are types of cartridges.  Kung MM ang cartridge mo, it should work sa Zenith mo since may option sya for that.  Besides, mas malamang na MM yang Pioneer.  Ano ulit yung model ng TT mo?

yung nabili ko po na karayom, do i need to establish  it too if MM or MC sha?

I don't think so.  Chances are, MM yan. And at that price, MM yan.

Meaning, you don't have a problem with ground anymore. Pag may humming, either naputol yung ground wire nya kaya wala kang makitang wire, or try to move the RCA plugs.  Pag nawala, good.  If not, pa-solder ka ng ground wire.
