IMO, it seems a bit anti-climactic for LBJ to appear on an ESPN-sponsored presscon on primetime just to announce that he's not changing teams.  ???  But with all the hype, this qualifies as must-see TV.  I hope BTV will air it Friday morning.  I'm sure the announcements from Wade and Bosh will be aired too somehow.

We deserve better.

Nah.. don't think so.. this'll only be possible if LBJ will also join the Heat.

Amare is headed for the Big Apple!!
http://www.nba.com/2010/news/07/05/stoudemire.knicks/index.html#?ls=iref:nbahpt1

amare is not a big time player IMO, he will never be at par with the best center or power forward in the NBA, he can not create his own shot and if not becasue of Nash, you wouldnt even notice that amare is there.

oh i forgot, he is at par with chris webber perhaps ;D

Miami just landed Wade and Bosh.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=5360134

IMO not enought to be even in the eastern championship

bosh is an excellent player but he is not a strong center, wade and bosh can not carry miami with just the two of them, my last recollection, MIA does not have a very good center

Agree. It's like the Heat just added another Jermaine O'Neal, but younger. Nice core, but still needs another all-star and/or solid complementary players to be favorites.

Dominoes continue to fall - Boozer goes to Chicago.

oh oo i thought LBJ is in the works too...

so miami got wade and bosh for max and beasley and chalmers plus rookies, cap set at 58M they will have 16M to sign 11 more players... that's tough

All free agency action going to the East so far.....

West teams weakening with Boozer and Stoudemire going East...

Bodes well for another LA run  ;D ;D

with wade and cb4 in maimi.. impossible na si lbj sa miami am i right?

which leaves lbj for 2 feasible options..

cleveland again?

or

chicago?

pag chicago sya, e di parang balik cleveland lang sya nung rookie season nya.. with carlos boozer as teamate..

but this time with rose, noah, and deng? or wala si deng?

I am guessing that LBJ stays in Cleveland, with a short new contract so if they dont get him a good support crew this year or the next, he's gone for good. The faction who has been angling for him to go to Chicago has fallen out of favor and Miami is now impossible so I think he stays. Expect this FA hype to be renewed in about 2 years.

According to David Aldridge, Ray Allen has agreed in principle to stay in Boston for 2 years at $20M.

2nd year is a player option.

Lebron can still go to Miami by signing outright.  Bosh can go via the sign and trade route.  It's still possible to get all 3 players in Miami.

Stan Van Gundy's take on LBJ's announcement tomorrow.  Sapul!  :)

http://ht.ly/28h8K

With all this crazy hype for the announcement, I somehow get the feeling that he's changing teams and leaving Cleveland.  But I really don't see him going to Miami - he needs to be the one big star on the team.  It's bad for his "brand" or marketability.  Chicago makes sense - he'll still be the top dog, but with a playoff-ready line-up.  New York is the next best sensible destination, IMO - with Amare and a couple of serviceable role players.  Malabo siguro New Jersey - it'll be like his rookie year in Cleveland.

Ano kaya prediction ni Paul the Octopus?

tama si svg...

it takes 15 seconds to say, "ill be playing for _________".. the rest of the 59:45 ano gagawin? presscon?.. not much questions if he stays in cleveland.. more questions if he moves to another team.

pero i agree with a lot of people... he is becoming egomaniac.. presscon for signing?

nobody handled it better than mj... especially when he came back from his first retirement..

fax lang sa nba office... "im back"  yun lang...

no hype, whatsoever... what followed was renewed and rekindled interest.. excitement..

with lbj, he's digging his own grave...

he is good.. but he's could be another barkley...

Drama King nga daw si Lebron. Well, it fits siguro kasi nakailang iyak na rin sya at lagi syang talo sa playoffs e. This one-hour special on revealing where he's going to sign is just so wrong IMHO. Attention whore talaga si LBJ tsk tsk. I would love for him to go to Miami, though, and see how good they can be. Jermaine Oneal to Boston would be great as the Cs need another big man, especially since Perkins is still injured. Yun lang, injury-prone din itong si Oneal e. Wouldn't it be great if Boston gets two Oneals (Shaq and Jermaine)?
