what's in the mind of shaq?
i can't remember an ex-laker wearing a rival celtic green jersey.

haha!  parang si chris tiu biglang nag jersey ng Green Archer.  or si Jaworski naka Crispa uniform.

i guess he just wants to go out smoking with a contender team, that's it.

The Lakers would not likely retire his jersey since he signed up with Boston.  ;D

^Yeah, like Ewing. But at least Shaq won championships.

5-player, 4-team trade reported today:

Hornets get Ariza
Pacers get Darren Collison and Posey
Nets get Troy Murphy
Rockets get Courtney Lee

This trade should boost Collison's fantasy value :). Kinda feel sorry for Ariza but he should now get more playing time.

Sayang si Collison. Now NO's got no insurance when CP3 leaves.

Good trade for my Rockets IMO. Conserving cash for the future. And Battier would be playing the 3 position full time na ule, with Chase as his back up. Courtney will probably be their 6th man, pamalit kay K-Mart.  ;D

I think Payton and Fox were Celtics first before they put on a purple and gold. Travis Knight I think started at LA then went to Boston. Or did I get that wrong?

did a double check,
fox was a celtic first.

payton was a laker first in 2004 then became a celtic after
so is travis knight he was drafted alongside kobe and fisher in 1996 then shipped to the celtics in exchange for some players including rick fox.

ok na din siguro at least by being a journeyman, he got several championships naman

a lot of NBA superstar ended up retiring wihtout any champisonship

i hope shaq consider retiring already after completing his contract with the celts, its always good to retire graciously rather than vanish into thin air wihtout knowing what happenned to them, the likes of tony kukoc, steve smith, xavier mc daniels, jr rider, shawn kemp etc. and oh latrell sprewell

ah,patrick ewing. he of the ever flaring nostrils and sweats buckets kahit shoot around pa lang   ;D

gone with him are the days of hand checks, stare downs and purely physical defense.

don't you miss the NBA of the 90's?

sabi nga ni mark kriegel (i think) sa isang article of his a few weeks back:

where the F is the hate?!

the league is now a cesspool of bromance.

jr rider,that uber hyped thug,ended up,well,a thug.

shawn kemp got fat and developed a cocaine habit, not to mention fahtered children like abraham.

Usapang OKC naman tayo.

Everywhere I go I meet new Thunder fans. They've become the "in" team. ESPN ranks them no  2 in the West, below the Lakers and above Dallas and Denver. Kevin Durant is now the darling of the media, and now that the reigning MVP has become a Heel, KD is The Face.

OKC is no longer the young upstart team, they've now entered the Establishment.

So do you like them? Or not? Overrated or serious contender?

I like 'em. Especially si KD, his outlook, his attitude towards the game. Parang si Grant Hill, pang role model.

Yun nga lang they need a legit "4". Jeff Green's good, kaso hirap when they face teams with taller PFs. Like what happened last playoffs against the Lakers. Pau got his way around him big time.

And Harden's development is also key. Sana this season sya na mag start as their SG, di na si Thabo.  ;D

Kevin Durant needs to bulk up a little. He's too skinny for a man his size. He's what? 6'10", 230lbs.?

^ You may have a point there. I just watched the 1992 Dream Team's gold medal game vs Croatia, and Toni Kukoc was much more agile than he was when he joined the Bulls. He had bulked up by then and he lost a bit of his quickness.

the experience against the Lakers last season just made them a veteran young team. I think think they will match up greatly against the heat. Good thing the lakers added some people who can run with them. Ebanks is my man!  ;D

OKC is so impressive, they build the team from the draft, Sam Presti did a good job and also lucky that portland drafted Oden first.

No doubt!  :)

When "The Worm" slams you, you know you doin' it wrong.  ;D

Kaya lang sana enough na with the LBJ criticisms, it's getting old real fast. Almost everybody's taking a stab at him! We all know he's a douche, and I doubt that he'd change anytime soon, so let's leave it at that.  ;)

No doubt talaga, Pip earned his HoF blazer.  ;)

Speaking of the HoF, star studded yung inductees this year ah. 1960 Olympics team tapos may '92 dream team pa! Not to mention my favorite Celtic, Dennis Johnson, is also being honored.  :D

Big Scottie Pippen fan here, so amen to this.  Jordan is Jordan, but Pippen was really special - the prototypical SF.  He was a versatile offensive weapon, and one of the true lock-down defenders in the NBA.  Certainly deserves to be in the HOF.
