I don't think Kobe can ever match Jordan's career.  Jordan never lost in the finals.

yup, i agree...

Interesting buzz in the preseason about the Bulls. New coach Thibodeau (for me, the real brains behind the Celtics' resurgence) has them running many new sets, with good spacing (parang Boston) and lots of cutting and passing (like the Celtics). They are also running sets for Korver where he runs through screens up and down the lane (like the plays the Celts run for Ray Allen), and Korver is playing well. The Bulls don't even have Boozer yet, though Gibson is filling in reasonably well.

Chicago could become a real problem for some of the highly regarded East teams.

I agree about giving a lot of credit to Thibodeau for Boston's championship. Thibodeau for me is really one of the best X's and O's coaches in the league. I hope it can translate into success for Chicago.

im routing for chicago more than miami

miami has the big three but im not sure if we are talking about skills and or ego here

chicago(please correct me if im wrong) has derrick rose, kyle korver and noah, three players who may not have the superstar status of the big three in miami  definitely have more heart and better attitude. the kind that wins ball game, noah who plays defense and jumps fro that ball likes theres no tomorrow, rose who is a pint guard but is built like a tank and fears no one and kyle who shoots the ball very well and just play the game the way it should be

Time-out muna:  Check out this video: China vs. Brazil (aka Kung-fu vs. Capoeira)!

That's what you call a "friendly match". :)

After Kobe last year, DH enlistss in Hakeem's training sessions. If Dwight learns half of The Dream's moves, Orlando will be a legitimate threat for the title this year.

BTW, Hakeem looks like he could be good enough to drop 20 and 10 right now. Maybe Boston can sign him up?  ;D

That's a pretty good idea!  What can you lose by signing a full-fledged, real deal finals MVP?   ;D

Hakeem will always be the most skilled center I have seen play. I remember how he regularly embarassed his rivals like Ewing, Robinson and Shaq with those amazing post moves. Even if I rooted for the Knicks, I couldn't help but go "Whooa!" when he would fake out everybody with the patented Dream Shake. It's great that DH turns to him to learn some moves, as Dwight has only been relying on his athletic ability to score. If he can develop a decent midrange jumpshot along with those post moves, he'd be the complete package.

Now as for Boston signing an almost 50 year old Hakeem, he would join a frontcourt with Shaq and Jermaine O'Neal. If this was 10 years ago every other team would crap their pants just thinking about facing these guys.  ;D

DH should have done that years ago. And practice shooting FTs.

Exactly. But I guess since bata pa talaga si DH medyo satisfied na siya how he can dominate physically most of the time. Wake up call din siguro how Boston managed to defend him with single coverage last year.

I recently saw some clips of Orlando's preseason game vs Houston, and he does look a lot more fluid in the post going against Yao. Mukhang meron naman results yung training. Pero medyo matigas pa rin kasi bato bato talaga si Dwight.

Welcome back, NBA!

Lebron: "What should I do?  Should I be who you want me to be?"

How about getting off your high horse first?  ::)

At his age if Lebron still doesn't know "what to do"...then he might just be a lost cause.   :D

http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/Miami-Heat-LeBron-James-scores-38-in-loss-against-Atlanta-Hawks-102110

Watched this preseason game between Atlanta and Miami where the Hawks won, 98-89.  I thought Lebron and Miami wanted to win this one.  LBJ scored 38 points but the Hawks, led by Joe Johnson , was the better team.  Ang galing ng Hawks!  Mukhang sa Hawks lang e di lulusot ang Miami?

I feel Miami is solely a perimeter oriented team.  Great for the regular season but not conducive to winning during the playoffs.
