let's try and put together a monster center then.

footwork, shooting,FT shooting,FG percentage, rebounding, shot blocking, passing, post moves (dagdagan nyo pa as you see fit)

picks?  :)

right now only one in mind that would have all those.. it would be Hakeem "The Dream"..  ;D

^Yeah they have to stop referring to the Celtics as the Big 3. It's Rondo's team; everyone else is just playing on it.

re Ralph Sampson...that guy is one heck of a power forward at 7'4" (?). Too bad he blew out his knees very early in his career. Agree that Olajuwon was one of the best who played his position in terms of his unique skill sets however I dont think he is the best. Shaq, Russel, Kareem and Wilt in their primes will surely give Olajuwon a nightmare. The Dream is a finesse player and though when he met Shaq at the finals Olajuwon was already in his prime back then and Shaq was in the league for 2 years only.  Had they both met while they were in their prime, the 1999-2002 Shaq version will just simply overpower the Dream.

if Kareem and the Dream (both finesse players) were matched up in their prime the Captain will just simply skyhook him to death. He aint the player with the most points in the NBA for nothing not to mention several MVP honors and several rings to boot.

Hehe..I beg to disagree ;D. Wilt and Russell are good, but they played against way smaller people back then night in and out. Plus they were the biggest blacks back then ;Don't wanna get racial pero pag 7 footer talaga mas magaling ang mga blacks. ;D  That's why Wilt scored a 100 in a game imo ;D Russell to me team player siya. Shaq don't have the smarts and he stated himself (ata) Hakeem was the greatest hehe. Kung greatest center skillwise and overall, to me it comes down to Hakeem, Kareem and Moses Malone.

Ito lang, ;D Hakeem all time leader in blocks and number one in steals among all big men ever. Points and rebounds all big men can do that. Hakeem is also up there with those stats ;D.  I just watched the Hakeem dvd, dang Phi slamma Jamma, those were the good ole days ;D. First few years sa nba, man he was dunking on everybody hehe

^ very well said, sir.. Hakeem is right up there when you talk about greatest centers ever to play the game.. he can do everything during his prime shoot, rebound, block, pass, steal, you name it.. iirc he's one of the very few who accomplished a rare quadruple double stat in the  nba..  ;D

Here's an interesting quote I got from the net:

“ If I had to pick a center [for an all-time best team], I would take Olajuwon. That leaves out Shaq, Patrick Ewing. It leaves out Wilt Chamberlain. It leaves out a lot of people. And the reason I would take Olajuwon is very simple: he is so versatile because of what he can give you from that position. It's not just his scoring, not just his rebounding or not just his blocked shots. People don't realize he was in the top seven in steals. He always made great decisions on the court. For all facets of the game, I have to give it to him. ”

I think you need positive stats to be considered in a double double, triple double or even a quadruple one that is why it is hard to complete one. hehe i dont think any coach would want his PG to have 8 TO's. That is why in PG's the assist to turnover ratio is always thier no. 1 stat.

But I agree such an amazing athlete, he will improve and make his decision amking abilities better through the years and ultimately his TO's will go down...

John Wall vs. Blake Griffin for ROY!

I think John Wall will continue to dominate even when Arenas returns.  It's his team now.

On another note:  Nice one, KG...

Kobe's 30-12-10 stats vs the Kings.  Triple Double, 5 games after knee surgery.  Did they put bionics in him?  Not good news for the other teams indeed.  The black mamba is once again a man on a mission.

Disappointments so far (Nov. 8)
in the West: OKC and Houston, both outside the top 8
in the East: Milwaukee and Charlotte, both outside the top 8.

Doing as expected: Lakers, Celtics

Overachieving so far: Hawks, Hornets, Cavs, Warriors

Inconclusive: Heat, Mavs

The other night it was Kobe who had a triple double...now its Gasol...and every night Odom is courting a triple double as well even if he isnt the focal point of the offense. Brandon Roy (22ppg) could only muster a 1 for 8 FG vs Artest....Blake is fitting in real well and so is Barnes..Fisher is Fisher right now loafing around in the regular season hehe. Shanon Brown is smoking hot from the three point zone (50% FG% in 7 games!) The scary part of it all would be that Bynum isnt even activated yet.

I can see it now...Miami vs Lakers sa December. Bosh will be a thouroughly outplayed if Pau, Odom and Bynum are there, Artest will never back down to James and Kobe can cover Wade. If Kobe lobs the ball down low to either of their three frontcourt players who will stop them? Bosch and Ilgauskas?  ???

it is going to be a mismatch and a rude awakening for the Miami trio. They will realize that they are so many years away from their goal. The contracts of the big 3 in Miami might even expire before they could win a ring.
