Boston is the first to qualify for the 2nd round as they sweep the Knicks..... Bring on the Heat

Knicks coach Mike D’Antoni, while saying Rondo is a “very good basketball player,” seems to feel his success is due more to the players around him. “I’d like to see him play on Minnesota and see how he does,” D’Antoni said before the game. “Everybody’s tied together and they have three Hall of Famers out there.”

I am sure D Antoni was saying I'd like to see him play for me after Rondo demolished his Knicks defense or lack of thereof... This is an insult not only for Rondo and Celtics but for the Minnesota organization as well...

Now the NY coach is on vacation and gone fishing hehehe...

Looks like the possibility of Howard bolting out of the Magic next season looms if the Magic get booted off, he is getting frustrated time and again with the inability of his team to win at the playoffs even with him providing monster numbers....

sour graping hehehehehe

a coach who has never been an advocate of defense got two star players who only wanted to shoot and not slug it out when the going gets tough, what can we expect.

No matter how good the players around you are, if you dont know how to orchestrate well, nothing is going to happen, rondo surely is blessed with very good players around him, but the greatness of these palyers are even more highlighted becasue of the way rondo plays at PG and how the coach leads his team, too bad this is only a dream for d antoni.

why is D Antoni not commenting on this, Orlando has some great players around the pointgurad isnt it, Howard, Turkouglo(tama ba spelling), Richardson, the only thing they dont have, RONDO.

I wonder whats going to happen if Howard ends up with the Celts next year.

Bring in CP3 or Howard plus a new coach and perhaps they will be able to go far from there.

Looks like its goin to be ATL vs CHICAGO next round.
Jamal Crawford is playing like RONDO for the Hawks, he's the spark for this team along with their BIG THREE Horford, Johnson and Smith.

kawawa celtics dito sa heat... :D

nagkaroon na rin ako ng kakampi ;D hahaha

i hope this happen, sayang ang ginastos ng MIami to get Queen James on board kung di nila tatalunin ang ageing Celtics.

I dont mind to be proven wrong hope to see James finally playing the way he depicts himself but not on a regular game but when the games matter.

RONDO is the 2nd coming of Magic Johnson but this time for the Celtics. Like Magic, he orchestrates and creates plays and situations for his teamates to score. Magic did the same to Byron Scott and james Worthy decades ago  just like what Rondo is doin for Garnett, Allen and Pierce recently.

http://hoopshype.com/salaries/orlando.htm

I was just checking out Orlando's salary situation and it's such a huge mess. It seems as if all they did this year is acquire bad contracts*. They have until next year to build a contending team to keep D12 from bolting but it seems highly unlikely since they have little cap flexibility.

Bad contracts etc.
*Arenas has a 2 yr. player option in 2012-13 worth $40m++
*Turkoglu is owed $30m+ over the next 3 yrs
*J-Rich has an expiring 14m contract, but isn't likely to be retained unless he settles for significantly less money.

sweep!

heat vs celtics... i'd say celtics will prevail, boston is just well coached, plus when the shooters are on target they are tough to beat.

Hornets ties series, 2-2 behind a monster game by CP3, 27-13-15 triple double and that fadeaway shot by jarrett jack ( who he? hahaha ).

I hope players from NY are watching.... this is how you win with heart.... They should get a page out of the NOLA, Indiana and Memphis playbook on knowing how to win. Damn even the lowly 76ers who seem to be lost in the playoffs got a win in their homecourt.... :-[

That's why the Hornets are so good with the game on the line. Smart play vs. hero play. CP believes in the former.

hornets needed a GREAT game by CP3 to beat the lakers, can CP3 sustain his all around game? yan ang difference with Rondo, Rajon can have a bad offensive game but can be a factor int he game.

Rondo can have a bad game but malas na lang talaga ng Boston kung bad game din sina Garnett, Pierce at Allen.  In short, I think Rondo belongs to a much talented team than the Hornets.

If LA wins next game (at Staples Center), I think they will close it out in 6 games.  But then again, in this time of upsets, you can never tell.

In the Eastern Playoffs, I am one of the millions eagerly awaiting the Boston Miami round.  Madugo 'to...
