Memphis looked unstoppable today versus OKC.  Westbrook wild masyado sa laro. 9 of 23 with 7 TO. PG position pa naman and daming TO. in contrast PG Mike Conley logged 39 minutes with ZERO TO.

too much hype given on the Perkins trade as the one that will turn things around for OKC this year in the playoffs. If Ibaka and Perkins cant even stop MGasol and Randolph imagine what would the Lakers do to them with a bigger and more talented frontline.

KD just called Randolph  "the best power forward in the league." I can't argue against that  Can you?

^ At this point in the season, and among the PFs still playing, no doubt.  He also has the perfect complement at center in Gasol, who does a great job in anchoring the defense.

Someone on Twitter also noted this - Memphis' regular season records against the Western Conference teams in the semis:

Vs. OKC: 3-1

Vs. DAL: 3-1 (including 2 wins on the road)

Vs. LAL: 2-2 (including a 19-point win at LA)

I know that these regular season stats don't really factor much in the post-season.  But this just proves that Memphis is and will continue to be dangerous in the playoffs.  Iba rin ang motivation when you're perceived as the underdog.

We deserve better.

wouldnt it be something to see Memphis vs LA for the West Finals? Gasol vs. Gasol...The trade that turned out to be the most significant one for the last 4 years. it worked wonders for LA and now it is paying off for Memphis as well.

Memphis just continues to surpass everyone's expectations. Wouldn't it be great if we had a Hawks vs. Grizzlies finals?   :o

Was able to see live the final 5 minutes of Mem OKC.  Mem's momentum keeps riding high.  I hope they go all the way ;D  As a Laker fan, I'd rather play an 8th seed in the finals rather than OKC or any other team for that matter.  But I still think the momentum of Mem will wear down and OKC will still take the series.  Just like NO, it's hard to play perfect every night.

--

Miami outplayed, outhustled, oursmarted Boston.  The Big 3 cancelled each other out, with LBJ & Wade outscoring Pierce and Allen.  And both Bosh and Garnett were non-factors.  James Jones was the main story with his clutch 3 point shots!  Boston failed to convert on crucial baskets. Miami got the better of Boston too in the bullying tactics department as Pierce got ejected with two technicals.

Just game one of the celtics heat series, and remember Miami is expected to hold serve in their 2 home games. Target of the visiting team always is to win at least 1 of the first 2 home games. Even if Miami gets the first 2 they just accomplished what they had to do and let Boston now do their thing in thier home floor. As everyone says the real series starts when somebody wins on the road in the playoffs...

But kudos to the Heat especially Wade and Jones they really torched the C's, Pierce and Rondo struggled so much even though Paul was beginning to get hot before the ejection which i thought were quick triggered much so we are in the playoffs...

But I have to give credit were it is due, Miami played great in both ends of the floor now its up to the Celts to respond...

i read somewhere that the contract that was given to Z-Bo has an attached agreement that Memphis should prioritize the resigning of Gasol as well.

just the perfect example of less is more...when they lost Rudy Gay who was the second highest scorer for their team a lot of basketball critics wrote off Memphis. Now look at what they are accomplishing without their All Star.

the official who gave the 2 technical fouls said that Pierce shouted profanities at Wade which is considered as verbal taunts in the NBA rule book and is subject to a technical foul. yun palang pag face-rub ni Pierce kay Jones dapat thrown out na sya dun actually.

DWade is da bomb!!

re PP34's 2nd technical
just when the Cs were staging another run, the ref was too quick on the draw, those were legitimate screens. and this is the playoffs, the players mouth off and trash talk all the time, it's part of the game! so let em play!

the Cs failed to steal game 1 but hopefully, they get game 2. go Cs!!

I know Dwade exploded for 38 points, but what really did the Celtics in was their defense on James Jones. He went off for 25 points (2 points more than the entire C's bench). That cannot happen. If the C's were able to contain Jones, they could have won the game.

for someone like me who is not a Heat believer, this is good, mas maganda ang series with this result, iw ill feel bad if the celts lose this series but its ok atleast maganda ang resulta nang move ng Heat this year.

This was what I was talking about, everyone is saying the same thing... of course kung Miami fan ka hindi but the rest even the commentators agreed that this was way too quick of such an important player at such an integral part of the game for them to toss him out. Yup those 2 were legitemate screens and this is the playoffs let the men play... the boys have already gone fishing... Wala po ako alam na thrown out rule sa face rubbing hehe ::)

There was another where I think a Celt was called for a flagrant foul 1 I think it was O 'neal in which the commentators said it was too weak to call it an F1 but when pierce got hacked when he faked JJ it was a more severe thing but was just called as a regular foul.

But that is part of the game and great teams adjust even to the calls of the refs so lets just respect that and move on....

Well yun mga officials' calls are the direct result of Boston giving up homecourt.  Ganun talaga.  You don't want to pursue HCA, you get burned.

Since the trade, naubos na yun bigs ng Celtics both to trades and injuries.  They lost the intimidation factor of their interior defense.  Naging susceptible tuloy sa penetrations resulting in kick-outs.

Im not sure, but i heard sa mga commentators na during the regular season, memphis has beaten OKC 3 to 1. Can anyone confirm this?  If thats the case, may laban pala sila.  Not sure if it matters in the playoffs, but it seems like they're doing pretty well naman. Heck they beat the number 1 seed di ba.

KD just called Randolph  "the best power forward in the league." I can't argue against that  Can you?

Every player has his turn to shine and Z Bo is playing the BEST Games in his carreer not only in STATS but by leading his team to victories over credible and elite teams.

bad trip talaga itong ABS-CBN. Meron bang schedule ng 'super delayed' at 'advertisement tadtad' telecast ang channel23 / abs-cbn???

yes ABS -CBN is to blame for mingling with sports telecasts.
now we cant see the NBA game live for free via BTV

kaya nga eh eto ngaun nagtyatyaga me panuorin un replay ng HEAT vs CELTICS sa chanel 23, ang panget ng telecast hindi malinaw like those from BTV.

Jeff Green is getting his first baptism of fire guarding LBJ. After all, thats why he was traded for. If he can improve throughout the series, then i still believe the CELTICS will win in 6 games.
Rondo didnt play well. Thats the key to their lost but of course, credit goes to WADE for playing an excellent game.
James Jones is Rey Allen for the Heat, awesome 3 pt shooting in today's game.
