Well you can be as optimistic as you all want but 0-3 ain't looking good ;D
kobe is no MJ!
This is just 1 proof!
Lalu ng hindi babalik sa philjax nito, dahil sa kahihiyan!!!

Di yata ako mahihiya kung ako si PJ.   Lots of NBA coaches have been down 0-3 in a series and may have been swept as well.........but not one of them had won 11 rings.

Just a pity nga lang he will retire having lost even with 11 rings.  No one wants to go out losing.

Im no Lakers fan but for me, If PJ and KOBE is able to win this with Dallas then I say PJ is the best coach ever and KOBE equals Jordan. And if they win the championship then KOBE should surpass Jordan's rating.

Game 4: Lakers Blow out Dallas on their home court (Dallas gets nervous)
Game 5: Lakers win at home big (Dallas is stung)
Game 6: Lakers take the fight out of Dallas in a close game (Dallas gets desperate)
Game 7 : Lakers outplay Mavs so badly Cuban and the coach get thrown out and the mavericks becomes part of infamy...

Ayos hehehe :o

I agree, all ten fingers and even si manoy may ring hehe. No discounting the fact that Jackson is a great coach and sure hall of famer.

But if you put it the other way around, yes alot of coaches may have been down 3-0 and lost a series, but you can never have expected to include Jackson there.

Some people even go to the road that he was never really tested as a coach during his 11 championships because he had Jordan and Pip, then Shaq and Kobe and Kobe in his prime with great supporting cast...

And these are coming even from Lakers fans, mga tao nga naman oh... you just lose a series and it seems burado na lahat accomplishments mo hehe....

Remember being a coach is not only making plays and decisions during the game, but also handling the different ego's these players have and make them play as one. Di naman niya kasalanan na he had great teams and players to coach...

And this coming from me of all a celtics fan... but i loved MJ and the Bulls before of course...  :D

It'll be harder now for Kobe to match Jordan's six championships with Phil Jackson probably retiring after this season, Gasol getting softer every year (Jackson was in his face twice in the game), Bynum's shaky knees and Artest's unpredictable behavior. Only Lamar has been consistent in this series which is very surprising given his record of going invisible in some games.

This year may be the changing of the guards. Timely lang kasi new decade na. 2000's belonged to the lakers and spurs. The new decade will probably showcase Bulls, Thunder, and Heat for the first half.

For now, the most fun to watch team are the Grizzlies :)

Wasn't able to watch the game. Turned out to be a good thing, I guess.  :P  Laker fans have been spoiled by the team's utter domination of the league these past two years that it's almost unthinkable (and therefore disappointing) to see them struggle this way. So hats off to the Mavs for accomplishing what other teams have tried vainly to do last season and the year before.  But if the Lakers are going down on Monday, I just hope they go down fighting!  >:(

yep lakers' time is ticking but  if there's a team that  can beat the odds right now its kobe's lakers, not counting them out, though not counting them in either. nice run 5 rings in 10 years .500 aint bad and 1 banner shy of their nemesis.

pero fact is the triangle is read like a menu in a fastfood resto, basang basa na, kaya nga they rely on pick and roll saka iso kanina and then their defense is missing daming plays kanina na open na open si dirk, peja, kidd and terry.

good call on rick carlise of put peja instead of marion in the 2nd half, gamble paid off

If I may add.....even the great MJ ruined his perfect ending.  ;)

Different scenario though.  Wizards weren't the defending champs going for a three-peat and were favored to win a third straight.

Indeed bro. Never underestimate the heart of a champion. I was expecting that Kobe will score like 40pts or more and take over this game..quite shock that mavs won..
next game i hope kobe scores a lot.better to have kobe score rather than give his other teammates confidence.imagine having gasol, odom, bynum, artest and fischer gaining confidence.very difficult to stop the lakers, they can win four in a row if those guys click.again mavs strategy is let kobe score and defend his other teammates.kobe naman is not like before, you can see that in this series medyo nawawala sya sa mga crucial late stages of the game.sign of old age i guess,he's been a pro since he was 18 years old.so maybe that was a factor

It's virtually over.  There is a reason why nobody has won a series after going 0-3 in the history of the NBA.

Shaq can be a double edged sword if he plays. he surely would be somewhat of a presence on defense in a half court set-up but if Miami decides to run he'll be left behind and it would be a 5-on-4 match.

Interesting news tidbit coming out of Orlando:

"Every basket by Bynum is getting the Orlando Magic more and more interested."

then good news for the Lakers. welcome to hollywood superman! lol.
