for me i will never get tired of my team winning, kung siguro buhay na ako nung 8 straight championships ng Boston eh abot tenga ngiti ko....
IMHO, a loss is still a loss masakit pa din kasi kung player ka the whole season you invested time and effort for your ultimate goal which is a champioship... at kung fan ka naman, the whole year you have also invested time and effort to cheer your team to victory...
Eventually as we may say, the loss maybe beneficial in the long run, but still you root for your team every year to win it all and it will still be painful to fan no matter the silver lining we may see in the future...
Yes winning is a great feeling. But no one expects to win year in and out. Eventually players will age, strategies will be figured out, someone hungrier will want it more. That's what makes teams like the Lakers and Celtics, the Yankees, the Patriots and even Man Utd, Liverpool and Chelsea special. They find a way to win consistently, and when they don't they do what is necessary to rebuild.
Any loss hurts thats true, but any true fan knows that it comes with the territory. A victory would be hollow if there was no risk of defeat.
In the 90's during the reign of the Bulls and Rockets, I could only dream of the Lakers having a player like Olajuwon or MJ, a dominant inside or outside threat . Instead we had Elden Campbell and Nick Van Exel
. But fast forward a few years we got our answer in the form of Shaq and Kobe.
So painful as it may be right now for us Laker fans, we just have to wait and have faith that the future does look bright. Hopefully we wont have to wait too long.
