With the signing of Doc for the long run and the statement of the team management that when they decide to rebuild no one will be untouchable (Pierce may be an exception IMHO) many rumors have started cropping up one of the more interesting one is: Rondo for D-Will trade... The author was saying though the determination and heart of Rondo was with pure Celtics tradition, the management is beginning to think that his improvement has plateaud and will be looking at a PG with more scoring skills to support Pierce...

What do you think folks? Interesting but Hay, this is too early they wont even let us enjoy the rest of the season... As Odom said there is no such thing as an off season for the Lakers, I guess with Boston its the same thing...

I think OKC will end this series today.  James Harden's haircut and beard must be distracting the Grizzlies.  :)

^ Spoke too soon.  Memphis on a run.

NBA Playoffs
Capsule Preview

(AP) - A look at the matchup in the Eastern Conference finals, which begin Sunday (with regular season and playoff records):

No. 1 CHICAGO BULLS (62-20, 8-3) vs. No. 2 MIAMI HEAT (58-24, 8-2).

Season Series: Bulls, 3-0. Chicago's three wins came by a combined eight points and the heartbreak eventually became too much for the Heat to take, with Miami coach Erik Spoelstra's revelation that there were "a couple guys crying in the locker room" following the Bulls' 87-86 victory in Miami on March 26. LeBron James averaged 27.5 points and 9.0 rebounds and shot 56 percent but missed one game with injury, while Dwyane Wade scored 29 points per game against his hometown team. Derrick Rose also scored 29 per game.

Story line: The Bulls hoped to land some combination of James, Wade and Chris Bosh last summer, watched the three instead join up in Miami, and ended up with the best record in the NBA anyway. The series matches the past three MVPs in Rose, who ended James' run of consecutive awards, and Coach of the Year Tom Thibodeau will have to devise his best defensive schemes if the Bulls are to slow down the red-hot James and Wade.

Key Matchup I: Carlos Boozer vs. Bosh. The former Olympic teammates are two of the most maligned of last summer's high-profile signings, but bring some momentum into this matchup. Bosh, who had a 1-for-18 night in a Feb. 24 loss at Chicago, had double-doubles in the final two games against Boston, making key baskets down the stretch in each. Boozer has been battling a turf toe injury that's slowed him during the postseason but comes off his best game of the playoffs, getting 23 points and 10 rebounds in the Game 6 clincher against Atlanta.

Key Matchup II: Luol Deng vs. James. Nobody is stopping James if he plays the way he did in the final two games against the Celtics, when he averaged 34 points and shot 7 of 13 on 3-pointers. But he can't forget about Deng, who scored 16.7 per game against Miami this season and provided the go-ahead points in each of the last two meetings.

X-factor: James Jones. The Heat will have to hit from the outside so the Bulls can't focus too much attention on keeping Wade and James from driving into the lane. Jones, who scored 25 points in the opener against Boston and hit a 3-pointer that ignited the late comeback in Game 6, is the best candidate.

Prediction: Heat in 6.

We'll looks like I was wrong and this will go the full 7 games  ;):

What Memphis did to win:

1. Great denial by Battier on Durant
2. Memphis countered by inserting Mayo on the starting 5 for more offense and spacing that will free Zebo.

What OKC did to lose:

1. Though the early 2 fouls may have put him off, Durant should have been given the shots at his sweet spot. By the coaching staff not doing anything to maximize him, they made the life of Battier and Allen easier by having a stagnant offense.

2. They went away from double teaming Zebo... they did a good job at it in the 1st half. They thought Perkins can handle him 1 on 1... they thought wrong...

Problem with rondo is wala sya confidence sa jump shot nya.  Sometimes he makes them, most of the time he doesnt even wanna make an attempt. Thats why his guard is leaving him to help defend other players.  He really needs a good outside shot, kahit medium range lang.

This Memphis Grizzlies is very, very stubborn.  You keep counting them out and they keep coming back.  A true underdog story indeed.  Can't help loving this team, eh?

Game 7 in OKC.  My rationale self says it's OKC.  Should be an OKC DAL in the Western Finals.  After all, Durant and Westbrook are playing super hoops and these guys deserve to win.  But then again, with MEM around, you can't tell.  Fairy tales do come true.

After the Game 6 dud, Durant is on track to reach 40 in Game 7.   :o  Dallas is watching...

Nice run by Memphis in the playoffs. They should remain playoff-bound in the years to come with this core.
