I would not be too critical of OKC. They went further this year, and they are on pace in their development.

That is true of their two young stars too. I think RW received too much negativity. The criticism was well deserved, but not the negativity. You could say that Westbrook played no worse than the MVP who plays for the Bulls. Durant should also be criticized, as should Brooks. But this is not to be negative, this would be for their own good if they listen and learn. A couple of plays here and there in the 4thQ of the last two games and the Thunder would have been up 3-2 against everyone's new darling, Dallas, and heading home for the potential clincher. Not too bad. Not yet, but not too bad.

One good thing, I think, is that they discovered they have three stars, including Harden.

i juts hope the attitude is manageable, he has the talent, wiht durant, im sure he would bvecome a btter man next season, harden, i have all praises for this guy, plays so calmly and is not afraid to shoor and passes well too.

I haven't really seen much of KD playing but it seems that he has a pretty awkward shooting motion. Another observation is that Westbrook and Harden are both playing the same position and one will eventually be traded.

nice read on the tander5

http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=AkHsz4xMxPawh.hQYgfyODG8vLYF?slug=jy-ludden_dirk_nowitzki_mavericks_reach_nba_finals_052611

"Nowitzki to Chandler to Terry to Kidd to Marion to Nowitzki. Follow the path of the ball, and it traces the career arc of the greatest player in these playoffs. From the Finals collapse in Miami to that history-making flop in Golden State to all those early exits, Nowitzki has been bumped here, bounced there. He’s still standing, and now he’s returning to the sport’s biggest stage, likely in Miami, precisely where this tortuous five-year trek began.

-
Thunder center Kendrick Perkins(notes) played on that Celtics championship team in ’08, and by
Game 3 of these West finals he saw the same look from the Mavs that he saw from K.G., Pierce and Allen. The Thunder could have played smarter, made more shots and stops, but never could they match the hunger that’s consumed these Mavericks.

-
From Nowitzki to Chandler to Terry to Kidd to Marion to Nowitzki again, these Mavericks have come full circle. They’re headed back to the Finals with another likely trip to Miami. For Nowitzki, for all these wayward veterans, redemption awaits.

on my earlier post, i stated that i noticed dirk suddenly went into the dugout while being called by the female emcee

heres why>

http://espn.go.com/nba/dailydime/_/page/dime-110526/daily-dime

"With the cameras still rolling, Nowitzki didn't even stick around for the end of Wednesday night's trophy presentation.

He quietly took his congratulations and some high praise from a pretty fair scoring forward in his day named Rick Barry, slipped out of view while Mavs owner Mark Cuban handled interview duty with ESPN's Doris Burke ... and then high-stepped over the scorer's table to get the heck out of there. Like it was 2001 all over again.

..."All that celebration stuff," Nowitzki said, shaking his head at his locker as his voice trailed off.

"This is not what we play for, bro."

Not yet.

phoenix suns reunion pagnagkataon, but sana the knicks hire a good defensive coach kasi yang takbuhan style ni d'antoni di uubra sa playoffs.

btw, i was so impressed on how james harden played in game 5. taas ng basketball iq, galing mag orchestrate ng play. too bad they lost  :-\

i know its a bold move but i think westbrook has to go. i know RW improved a lot this season but if he played the same way that he played last year okc might have reached the finals.

hayz talo sa pusta :-(

okc needs a veteran like jasonkidd to stabilize situation, diskarte, control para di bumigay ang mga bata pag pukpukan na.

I don't think Westbrook should be traded, well not yet. Not while he's still on his rookie contract at the very least. Although he may be one the main reasons why they lost the series to the Mavs, he's also one of main the reasons why they got that far into the playoffs in the first place. Plus, he's only a 3rd year player who has improved drastically each season that he's played. There's still plenty of potential there.

Siguro mas malaking tsansa na maging scapegoat ng Thunder si Scott Brooks kaysa kay Westbrook.

^ i agree. i didnt like how rw played in this series, but its too early to give up on this kid. he is too talented and you can see that he plays to win, medyo uncontrollable lang, which leads to bad decision making especially during crucial stretches of the game. the big question is if he's coachable, because if he is, chances are his playmaking will improve. kailangan lng siguro ng coach or a veteran teamate who can tame him.

If coachable naman si RW then no need to trade him bata pa. Pero if may attitude talaga then Harden is my bet.

^Harden's a SG though, so there's really no issue of picking between him and RW. Harden could easily start over Sefolosha next year.

kaya 6th man si harden kasi kelangan nila ng scoring din from the bench, mahirap pag walang scoring threat sa bench.

napansin ba niyo na walang team coach o players na ngumangawa sa officiating? oo, madaming bad calls pero hindi sila gaya nating mga pinoy pag natalo. reklamo, ngawa sila during the game pero pagtapos tikom na.

almost tip-off na. gising na dpogs!  ;D ;D ;D

Sa playoffs pag may 7 techs may one game suspension na ata (Tyson Chandler currently has 5? techs this playoffs).

5/8/11
The NBA fined Phil Jackson (LAL) $35,000 for his comments to the media on
Thursday about how the officials were not calling fouls committed on Pau
Gasol (LAL).

4/18/11
The NBA fined Nate McMillan (Por) $35,000 for his post-game comments
criticizing the officiating following Saturday's Por-Dal game.

thats good. nba told them to shut up or else. let the nba and refs take care of the officiating. take it out of the equation. players (and coaching) lang kung manalo o matalo. tama na ang ngawa, huwag sisihin ang officiating

___

even the commentators notice- whats with DW?

______
edit/add:

check out yesterdays officiating okc/mavs. may narinig ba kayo sa presscons?

wow 35,000 is huge, thats a nice car somehow in the US, no wonder brooks didnt say anything in the press conference.

imo, Dallas got away with some calls in the final minutes yesterday, but those can be considered breaks of the games sometimes
