That was a good suggestion, joey. I wonder what happened with the petitions by some filmmakers in the industry regarding the MMFF regarding the policies and changes.

But after watching at the CCP, I want more films of these type.

If you want a good laugh and a good cry, try to catch SAAN NAGTATAGO SI HAPPINESS on Aug. 10 Thursday, 2pm at UP Film Center.

Its one of the best dramedies ever made since MAGNIFICO.

Will it have a theatrical run, edboy, Mike Sandejas' TULAD NG DATI? BTW indies dominated the recent Gawad Urian.

Thanks for the info, Mike Sandejas was made already because of this film. On my first impression, I can't believe that THE DAWN can act.

Impressive film debut.

Cinemalaya at UP will end tonight with Tulad Ng Dati. Heard announcements that it will be followed by a live performance from The Dawn.

Skipped some work to have a field day the last 2 days watching some of the entries. Caught Donsol, Rotonda, Saan Nagtatago Si Happiness, Batad & Tulad Ng Dati. Although The Dawn arrived late last night, they performed 5 songs to an enthusiastic crowd.

Direk Mike Sandejas also announced that Tulad Ng Dati will have a local theatrical run around October & that The Dawn's new CD, also tiltled Tulad Ng Dati, is coming out this month.

Maganda talaga ang mga indie flick. Just lacks the audience for it and I'm still praying that ma release sa DVD or at least any promotional format locally yung mga independent films. Its a really good study reference for film schools.
