:-) Try measy, based on the test and review here Measy and Med8ter are nearly the same but this one is a bang for the buck and maybe lots of good reviews and feedback will comeout later,,, be one of us hehehehe :-)Garfield is just a click away :-)

Thanks. Yeah, decision is indeed leaning towards Measy. I have compared specs of common used brands at almost the same price range, and I think Measy does have an edge. Final Nail on the coffin, testimonials based on experience. That it is worth it.

Already got a 500Gb waiting for it right now for starter. Kapag napasarap, will go for 1TB

bakit nag update ako sa 8.5 wala naman nangyayari, kaya napilitan pa kong mag force update back to 6.23.
Anyone experienced this?

btw ung E8HD ko is from last year edition, yung walang "easy" hard drive bay sa side at uses RTD1073 IC

Yung dating nawalang firmware, ung 8.26 ganun din nangyari sakin.

For internal use, better to buy a western digital caviar green, 5400 rpm, di masyadong nag-iinit... there are alot of these in TipidPC.com or better to ask sir Garfield kung may binebenta sya para may freebies na rin

Anybody here who has v 6.23 with no BT/SAMBA?
I'm wondering if with the above set up firmware upgrade to v8.5 will do the trick to access BT/SAMBA (without formatting hdd).

the hdd need to be formatted so it is a linux filesystem (ext2 i think) in previous versions, I think it has NTFS write access now for 8.5, at least thats what the new update states

I already have a mede8er and Im planning to get Measy for my room. Based on this thread, Measy is comparable to Mede8er, I really like my mede8er however if could get something like mede8er that is cost efficient then I would go for it-Quick booting and loading. Question is, I am planning to get Measy without intenal HDD as I have a 2tb external HD which mede8er can read and play movies from, can Measy play movies from 2tb external HD?

How does the Measy play full BD structures? Do you have to navigate through the folders/m2ts streams, or, you simply press the folder/filename?

i have 500GB external and it works fine, i have no doubt it can play on 2TB as well.

I have no BD-ISO but i assume it's supported (that's what the box says). in DVD structure, it can play on stream, just like a normal dvd

Bro, I think it's better if you offer to lend your Mede8er with loaded HDD to the one who will lend you his Measy unit so both will be happy during the holiday. Just my suggestion..

Thanks for the suggestion.  Yeah actually I am aware na insensitive yung offer considering the holidays.  Problem is, the HDD Im lending until March 2011 is coming from Tokyo and will arrive on 2 Jan.  Tapos yung Mede8er would have to be kept in Pasig for relatives who would be spending the holidays with our mother.  My immediate family & I wont be there.  So nagbabakasakali lang ako kung sinong meron "spare" NMT na Measy during the holidays, or willing to part ways with the Measy for 2 weeks.  It has to be a Measy or anything within the same price range having all those connectivities - so hindi puede ang Xtreamer or WDTV.   

Actually I only need a day or 2 with the Measy to test the full BD functionality, but I am in Tokyo - kaya nga Im offering to lend an HDD until March in return para baka sakaling fair offer.  In Manila, it might be very hard to gather as many, as big, and as new as I can lend    So baka lang talaga.  Otherwise, Id just test the Measy at Garfield's HQ in July next year.

Just download the new firmware v.8.5 save in flash disk root directory and install to your unit without the HDD new BT/Samba is built-in in the new v8.5

Mga sir, does this new firmware support jukebox na?? This NMT is almost complete if it can support jukebox sana! I sell WDTV Live Plus and pretty biased towards it, but after getting my hands on the Measy I was really impressed! Jukebox support nalang kulang!!! Waaaaah!!!!
