does anyone tested the new firmware v.8.95? It says need to upgrade twice meaning u must be in v.8.5 to install this or kahit naka first version ako pede naba itong mai-install.

Sa mga naka pag install, my improvement na ho ba? Input nlang po mga sirs. Thanks

Got mine to work. Upgraded from version 6.xx but still testing for bugs. Delay is still there but quite tolerable for me

wala na ung mga BT/Samba scanning issues? Saka mas mabilis bilis na ba ung loading nya kesa sa v.8.5? May preview mode?

I was able to upgrade to v.8.95, below are some of my initial observation

- new fw played mkv files that I had problems playing on v.6.23aw
- when changing aspect ratio, it does not display the current setting, rather you have to go to setup menu to check
- better navigation than v8.5, as previously stated, delay is still there but tolerable.
- like v8.5 the new fw displays the album cover or movie poster
- I believe they were able to fix the bt/samba scanning issue as I don't see it anymore.

I'm not sure though what they meant by the note "need to upgrade twice"

its a good stable firmware upgrade; nothing new aesthetically, mostly bugfixes for the previous firmware. the bt/samba install during startup is gone so the player loads quickly.
i have no problems with the menu, probably because i just browse my movies in list view mode

thumbnail/preview mode is just too slow for me.

Just got a bnew Measy player yesterday. Tested it by watching a few movies using the FW out of the box. Then downloaded and installed the latest FW last night. Just noticed that the response time seems slower in the new FW and it keeps scanning the HDD.

@Sir gary: So far so good ang panonood ko nakakatapos na ako ng movie hehe, ang dali lang pala talaga matanggal ng hdd pag wala ang tornilyo, bad trip yang tornilyo na yan. Will watch for more to test kung smooth play na talaga sya.

kelangan pa ba tanggalin yung hdisk pag mag upgrade to the new 8.95? I removed my hdisk when i did the upgrade for 8.5, natakot ako baka mabura lahat ng movies sa hdisk kasi.

Got my measy last thrusday and was only able to test it this weekend. Everything works well except the BT downloader. For some reason, it has a very small peers shown and sometimes it has 0kB/s DL speed. But, when I put that same torrent file into my uTorrent, i got a very fast DL speed. Download speed for ubuntu is very different. Measy: <40 KB/s; uTorrent >100kB/s. Measy was downloading ubuntu only unlike in uTorrent that there are 5 other files being downloaded. My daughter (4yrs old and the main user of this player) finds it hard to navigate since there is no album art. v6.23 FW. Hopefully, BT download will be fixed. All in all, a very nice product. Seeing bugs in the BT client as well. For now, I'll test only 1 download at a time and see if I can complete one.

sir garfield, question lang po. can a universal remote replace the remote of the measy? i have 4 remotes kasi, was thinking of getting a universal to replace the 4. thanks!

IM not sure. maybe it will depend on your universal remote. If I'm not mistaken, pwede program yata yan.
