This weekend i had tested other firmwares from other rtl 1073 media  players. NO ONE WORK!!!

Firmwares taht did NOT work.
Datage HDPro
Fantec MM-FHDL
IcyBox IB-MP305A-B

1073dd-max
     HD300B/HD300A
     HD600A/HD600B

All thoes did not work on my device i dont know if they will work on a newer E8HD player.

There are others than can be tested but i havent yet.

I have a E8HD and I experience dreadful speed when using samba to transfer files (200 to 500 KB/s) and bt is totally unstable. I´m using FW 9.05. My device uses the rtd1073 chipset.

Does any one have the same problem?

I tried the ftp tutorial but my devide does not have the folder volumes inside /tmp/hdd. Does FTP improve speed?

That is not an issue as I can easily get it's ip address with an app I have on my iphone. So my question remains.. is the play/pause/browse file possible with the web control? I am asking this because I am currently on 8.95R and as I understand that the web control is available only in the latest 9.05?

From NOW ON, all the will-be released E8HD will support Webpage control. Please do not worry.

For the more techie ones, and have the right router features, you should be able to see all IP addresses and device names on the router's DHCP table...  Baka makita nyo yung Measy dun, with the corresponding IP address...

Technically, we really appreciate for your work and efforts for using E8HD without a proper remote control. But for many of normal clients, they are just wanting to get a FULL HD movie to play with a proper R/C. Thanks.

Termminator have already sent 32 mails to tom [email protected] and i dont get a solution for my e8hd. simply if you upgrade more that 8.95 the device does not start.

yes, i know how to force upgrade., the only firmware that is working on my device is 8.95.

I have tested firmware 6.23 and works too.

it seems that is it some change in the newer firmwares.

good thing that could be add is in the subtitles make the
1 - Outline thicker so it can make more contrast with the image.
2 - Yellow color more light it too yellow and makes the eyes tired.
3 - add Anti aliasing to the subtitles this will be great so they are more integrated to the image.
4 - Samaba is killing slow.
5 - Bittorrent is slow and unstable. i dont know if torrent client was changed in newer versions.

im using fw8.95 and dont kwno if in newers firmware this is corrected.

Terminator: can you ask the TOM from measy support how to modify configuration of samba files to make work as it should. it take me to copy 100mb about 30 minutes.

know that i have to enter thought telnet and , modify the smb.config but i prefer that you sent me the correct configuration for this device.

lets sing all together this media player is killing ME softly ......with this transfer....

im still using 8.95 it is stable but has not most of the interesting things that i has 9.05.
bt not stable  (issue fixed in newer versions)
samba incredibly slow (issue fixed in newer versions).-


This are the improvements  in 9.x versions.

1.Improve Scaning function

2. improve  infomation windows:  try to press "info" key  of remote controller

3. Add dual "time seek"   function:  try to press "time seek" key  of remote controller twice

V9.02

1.Cancel Scaning inter HDD and USB device when player staring.

Improve the speed of staring time.

2. Auto loading BT/SAMBA  function , not need any sutup step.

Does someone here have a link to the 8.80 FW (industrial)? I have yet to try that firmware. I'm running at 6.23AW but it lacks youtube. However, it has to be the most stable when it comes to subtitles, BT and samba.

you have to open the device. in the lower part of the image there itis the date of manufacturing. in the picture you cant see it very well but is on late 2009

I have got my device open and could see that the pcb dates from oct-2010. Nevertheless it seems just as the 2009 from the pic of tatubias. The ICs seem the same.

As mine is newer maybe I try the FW from terminator.

hmm, i better check mine!, i got it this year but heck, you dont know whats inside just so before i upgrade.
