Pandadag info. I played Darksiders 2; Uncharted 2; Bioshock 1    may pagka dark nga yung mga games sa ibat ibang level pero hindi sa lahat. (mas malala pag ka dark ng uncharted 2) kahit anong tweaks mo  madilim yung dark areas para sa akin maayos naman eh natapos ko nga eh. bang for the buck to. di naman ako pihikan sa ganun. sa mga nagbabalak bumili at medyo ayaw ng madilim subukan nyo muna itest kay S&S para makita nyo :p

Okay sir akala ko masyado nag susuffer yung tipo na parang washed out at hindi maganda color pero yung dark levels lang ba? Thanks. Siguro nga if bibili ako dalhin ko na lang din ps3 ko.

kamusta reception nito sa TV? using ordinary Antenna?

ako naman nung bibili ako pinagtabi ko sila ng samsung sa SnS. as in magkatabi at same ang palabas.
mas maganda yung tone ng dark colors nya sa samsung. Plus for almost the same price of a 32 inch samsung - you'll get the 5 inch more sa size! sulet mga parekoy. hehe

pangit ang reception, walang channel 2.

pwede na pgtaygaan channel 5. 7 tsaka 23. i think you really need cable for this tv.

actually hindi rin, haha. fairview qc area ako kaya maganda channel 5.

wala ako decent antenna, yung rabbit ears lang at wala rin cable, pero imho mas maganda pa rin manuod sa conventional tv, para kasing namamagnify ng lcd yung noise.

i rarely use this naman for watching tv, movie watching talaga, hd 1080p and 720p. sarap din mg starcraft 2 dito! hehe.

planning to buy this 37" ld460...do some research on the net....one thing I noticed from the diff. forum about LCD TV is the reliability of LG's LCD TV....lots of complain about defective units after about a year of used. any comments on this? now having second thought...might buy na lang Sanyo 42k40...Cheap for a full hd 42"..features are ok na rin...and Sanyo is a reputable Japanese Electronics company. What do you say guys?

You should look for a the home-theater can process the DTS audio. The early home-theater system has optical input that process Dolby Digital, but not DTS.

What do you say guys?

LG used to have problem in plasma, especially the 32" category, but not in LCD.

By the way, LG 42LD460 is now only P42K. This TV has built-in USB media player which is a +1 as against Sanyo 42K40.

Thanks for the reply Sir, Btw kayo po ba ang same Vic na me store dati sa Raon? we used to buy dati ng Betamax and VHS machines during the early nineties then we bought a 50 inch projector tv sa branch nyo sa Shang? its been a long time Sir. might drop by one of this days sa Shop nyo...going to buy 42" lcd this Sept. bec. someone told me that the promos are better in September. is this true?

You should look for a the home-theater can process the DTS audio. The early home-theater system has optical input that process Dolby Digital, but not DTS.

That's right, our family started electronic spare part business way back 1960's at Evangelista, Quiapo. In 1993, I put up a Pro Shop here at Shangrila Plaza. We are now 17 years in Shangrila, and still going stronger.

You need to connect a digital either optical or coaxial cable from TV to htib. Some TV usb port cannot process dts, and therefore, has no digital out. In that case, you may not be able to play movie with dts encode.

anyway po mga boss - planning to buy this 37LD460 kasi nga bang for the buck sya. pero what about playing games using PS3. hindi ba mautilize ung mga games? i mean cant play 1080p as previous pages meron daw sobrang dark.

Im "planning" to build one (LCD+PS3) for GT5 experience

hope more input, review and some tweaking techniques from PC and PS3 to fully utilize this baby...

LCD TV is just right for gaming, and since 37LD460 is a full HD, it maximizes the pixel count of 1080p video game. Dark image must be due to some other issue. An inferior hdmi that is not 1.3 version compliant might create murky black instead of deep black. Again, dark image may not be the reason for lcd to be utilized for gaming.

It's final DTS audio codec is not supported thru LG optical out.

Yes, it can play mkv stored on a 1TB HDD.  Unfortunately, usb does not support DTS audio.
