hanggang ngayun di ko pa rin ma-accept yung inaccurate color ng tv na toh, ewan ko ba, sony kasi ko dati.
help naman sa calibration, oversaturate na ewan yung color nya eh.

Having the same problem with my 42U20 but only when I'm watching DVDs. Any calibration tips? Most especially for the U20? I've tried most of the settings...TV and DVD wise.

Current settings of my 42U20.

TV settings:

Cinema Mode
Backlight 85
Contrast 100
Color 55
Tint 53
Brightness 52
Sharpness 50
PNR Mid
Color Mode Normal

DVD settings (Pioneer 400 connected thru HDMI):

Brightness: -2
Sharpness: Standard
Contrast: +10
Resolution 1920X1080p
Color: Component

Anything I missed out on?

Help please...TIA

Out of the box gusto ko na yung mga settings ng 42x20 coming from a samsung 2007 and sharp 2010 lcd. I just had to fine tune the settings depending on the movie/game.

Try a calibration disc. If you're still not contented, bring a disc to the store and see if it displays like yours.

I was just curious, how come you have the unit di nyo pala gusto pq nya.. di po ba kayo nag audition for comparisons prior on buying the unit? :) If di nyo po matimpla sa adjustments may be panel fault ???

ye, ako nga yun, pero comparing the two, samsung and panasonic, maganda p rin panasonic, yun nga lang ksi yung green nya kulay "blue green", pero ok nmn other than that, yun lng inaccurate yung primary color. i compared the two coz i was thinking of exchanging my unit for a samsung plasma, pero di ko na tinuloy coz of  mas mababang PQ ng samsung. galing kasi ko sa sony bravia LCD di man ganun yung black level nya pero accurate yung color, kaya napansin ko agad nung nag plasma ko ng panasonic. i suggest kung mag plasma kayo, you go with high-end model panasonic.. ilang months lang naman mababawi mo rin yung pera.

i did post din here, na setting the picture to cinema then calibrate to ur liking solves the problem, but to my further usage its actually still there, na-reduce lang ng onti..  is there a way to calibrate the RGB settings in the service menu, to tone down the green?

I noticed that most of the 2010 Pannys have this color bias (both Plasma and LCD). However, I believe a reasonable balance could be reached by just playing with the basic settings (unless you desire the utmost accuracy, which might need professional calibration).

Already used the THX tests in some DVDs, just so I get settings exactly made for DVD viewing...I guess its just the sheer desire to make the viewing more pleasurable that makes me seem uncontented (I know, it's not a word ;D).

Thanks!

mga sir,

dalawa po ba yung version ng th-42x20v?
42x20v with and without 600 Hz Sub-field Drive?

ano po ba ang nagagawa/epekto ng refresh rate na 100 Hz?
standard refresh rate po ba ito?

I think it's totally fair na thorough ang inspection of any item for replacement.   Mag-ingat kayong mabuti sa gamit in case you have plans or there is an option to replace within a limited period.  Yeah dapat wag nyong tanggalin yung mga protective plastic films kung meron possibility na you would replace or upgrade. Syempre ibebenta rin nila yon sa susunod na Customer and sino naman ang may gusto ng kahit isang scratch at the same price - lalo na ang Pinoy?

Maski sa Tokyo, magkaroon lang ng dent ang BOX or magusot lang ang manual, minus na kaagad sa value, paano pa ang scratches (no matter how tiny).  But hopefully, Vic would be kinder.  So goodluk.  That 1-month replacement offer if SnS is great, but replacement conditions have to be totally fair for both parties.

Do you mean SNS sells traded units as bnew again? Or SNS say they are traded items and are lowered in prices.

Can you clarify?

Actually iniisip ko din kung ano ang ginagawa nila sa traded units e.
