Hey guys, been a member here at PDVD for quite some time now, i think more than 6 years already but it's my first time to post here in the Gallery. Anyway I just wanted to share my humble on-going set-up. I just moved in a new townhouse and the living room is so cramped that i do not have the luxury for proper placement. I just had to make the most of my gears + the space I was given. Anyway without further ado , here is the evolution of my HT

Thanks  Took me about 2 months to plan this system so hopefully it will meet my expectations. Big thanks to PDVD members for helping me out and providing valuable information with regards to the nittygritties of this hobby

Didn't get a chance to take a picture of the sub yet but ricky i got the auralex na by the way 

yup bro KT kulang nga surrounds but wala na kasing space to put it audioworld suggested I get the monitor radius since they can wall mount and angle it properly pero im still thinking if i should wait for the eisa award winning radius HD

I know the RX2's are not at their optimal placement but what can I do, the commander wants to put a center table in the middle 

i'm just going to use the speaker stands in the Music bedroom. A sneak peak on what will be placed there

You're the man bro As for the surrounds try the ceiling mounted types na lang with adjustable tweeters, hindi naman critical ang rears eh old joke re surrounds )

Kakainis I can't hear the dialogues pag naka on yung aircon ( window type ) wanted to change to a split type sana pero we're just renting the townhouse so we don't want to waste money on installation costs

i tried increasing the speaker level of the center channel pero sometimes kasi it overpowers the other speakers. When i turn up the volume naman, minsan nakakagulat lalo na pag walang segway going into action scenes. nakakbulaga talaga lalo na yung SVS sub 

ano kaya pwedeng ibang solution dito ?

You are probably better off mounting the speakers on top of the shelf, flanking the TV and then pointing at the main listening position. Of course, the best is to use the speaker stands but there is the WAF.

tried mounting the speakers on top of the shelf but parang it will block part of the viewing area of the TV. Will try to modify their positions again later and will post results here

ops, not the a/c. baka kako pwedeng ang upuan ang nakasandal sa may hagdan or any rotation posible. sa nakikita ko parang limitado ka sa square layout/ baka din pwedeng against the wall ang gears and your sofa will serve as divider na rin.    put some drapes kung masilaw...

ok yan. ideally the tweeters should be a teeny bit farther than the mid/woofer.

This might help a little bit. The tweeters should be pointed towards the ears.

However, the other problem is that the speakers are surrounded on 4 sides by the shelves and the floor. I think this has a much bigger negative impact on the sound quality. The best is to use a stand. The next best is to mount them on the top shelf, probably jutting out a little bit.

fixed my speakers to angle and it helped a bit. most of my problems come from vocals so i think my main problem is the center channel. I have my Left and Right speakers bi-amped to the AVR and it might be eating up the power to the center channel.

I was planning on adding a monoblock amplifier to be on center channel duty. Any thoughts on this "upgrade" and what monoblock amplifiers would you guys recommend (the smaller the foot print the better and i need around 100-120 watts of clean power)
