Sir Praktical, saan makakaiskor nung banana plug at magkano?

Mukhang ok na sir for me yun height na surrounds. Kapag masyadong mababa, masyado nang mag-localize sa left and right listener.

Na-mount na yun surrounds. Pagpalitin kaya yun sub position and front left speakers...? Para lumapad yun stage. Then acoustic panel na lang for the side walls to minimize reflections etc..

Avoustic wall panel sir. Try trod93. Lalapit kasi sa wall mo yun speaker based on my suggestion kaya sinama ko na din yun. At least 12 inches from the real wall.

good thing about wall mount, di nadadale at walang nagagamit na space sa baba.

As suggested by Sir Praktikal, I bought banana plugs, 3ms gauge 14 speaker wires kinabit ko for Front
speakers (for Bi-wiring) used banana plug sa likod ng AV.

and profigold subwoofer adaptor

mas naging organized yung mga wires.

As suggested ni Sir Nelson, pinagpalit ko yung sub at yung left speaker

Inadjust ko rin height nung upper glass by putting long bolt:

Hay... Pati BDs, Diba Coffeetiger...

Suggest ko pagpalitin ulet. Wahahahahah.

Maaaring mag-integrate better yung sub with the current layout, pero at the expense of overall fidelity.

That was what i meant. I forgot to tell him to move the right speaker farther. My bad. it's suppose to be equidistant.

good job jao!

there's no harm in trying. compare mo na lang and if satisfied ka then problem solve ka na. pwede mo pang patungan ng anik-anik and if babasagin just make sure to put "blu-tak" para di mahulog  ;)

saka ka na bumili ng mahabang cable once sure ka na. meantime, use your existing cable to test.

now, if may magsabing not a good idea, nasa iyo na yan.

sa buhay parating may compromise  ;)

with regards to sub placement the best thing to do is just to experiment. iba iba ang kwarto natin and iba iba ang listening preference.

sir maganda na yan setup mo. fine tuning it can be done by listening kung ano ang trip mo.

some of the members here are offering their inputs because we share your passion for the setup.

just don't forget to ENJOY your system sometimes without a critical ear. After all yan nga yung reason why you have that diba? To listen and enjoy. :) don't get caught up in all the upgrade hype :)

at least not yet... hehehehee

The long adjustable bolt is clever.

Kulang mo lang ay NMT.   ;D

And also, balik mo nalang kaya yung sub sa gilid or move it forward para gumitna yung dalawang fronts sa back wall.    ;D  I dont think you need a wider soundstage sa room mo based on your room pics and gears.   ;)

BTW, never got afflicted with SARS because I actually watch a lot.   ;D

Sir clondalkin,

Sorry po ha, ano po yung NMT? Actually I returned the left speaker sa original location nya. I'll just look for an acoustic panel. napapansin nga ni misis na panay nuod at pdvd ako eh, di tuloy ako kinikibo...

I would define NMT as Mede8er or PCH-A200 para di mo na pag-isipan kung ano ang meaning ng acronym.  Available sa Ehome or kay Ert  hahaha... pero OK din yung Xtreamer Pro lalo na't you have an HD audio capable Yamaha 465 ayon sa aking kaibigan dito sa site...and I think the Measy deserves a sampling too (kung puede lang sana).

Isalang mo Love Actually, Valentine's Day, Love Letters, Notting Hill, Departures or si Ronan Keating sa HT mo and your wife would be very glad or cry a lot.  Or just buy her something nice.   ;D

I would be most worried if your wife is totally cool and deadma kahit na nakababad ka sa PDVD at HT.   ;D ;D ;D

Hi. Nice setup!

Some suggestions which should not cost you any (or at least not much) money:

1. The surround speakers are too near the back wall. Pull them forward about 18" and point the center of the speakers to the listener.

2. The center speaker is very important and its present location isn't ideal. Having it embedded between shelves and so low is not good. The proximity of the shelves to the speaker will cause many problems + the tweeter should point at the center of your head. Try to put them on a temporary stand right in front of the rack. The AVR should allow you to input the distance of the speakers from the main listening position so you can compensate for the unequal distance of the center vs. the left/right speakers. If you think the sound is better, get a separate stand for the center speaker.

3. You can locate your sub anywhere as long as it sounds good to you. Just experiment. You don't need "line of sight" to your sub.

4. Ideally, your left/right speakers should be a little farther from the back and side walls. Minimum of 2 feet. Optimum is around 6 feet but you don't have the space. Similar to all speakers, just make sure you input the correct distance to the speakers sa AVR - it should be the distance of the center of your head at the main listening position to the tweeter. This is important - it ensures that the sound from all speakers arrive to your ears at the same time.

Good luck!  :)
