Topic: 2 to 3 Seconds Audio Delay at Start

I have a HK 160 AVR and i am using it when playing with my PS3 and PC.
Ang problema ko is laging may 2 to 3 seconds delay ang sounds sa simula tapos biglang mag sync na sya.
Pag mag play ako ng mp3 eh hindi mo maririnig ung sa simula. Na eexperience ko sya sa ps3 at pc.
Gamit ko is HDMI para sa PS3 to AVR then HDMI uli from AVR to TV. Sa PC naman eh naka optical cable ako.
Anybody experiencing the same problem?

im not sure with the AVR you have sir, but i think what your experiencing is not a problem but more of a protection design feature... denedelay lang nya yung signal muna hangang sa mag stabilize yung current sa AVR mo para walang turn on/off pop sa speaker mo. those turn on/off pops kasi are/could be dangerous to the speakers...

My receiver is harman kardon AVR 160. Di kasi maganda pag mag papatugtog ka ng music files eh. Bigla nalang mag sisimula sa bandang gitnang syllable ng word.

Wag mo na muna siguro i-play yun cdp. Check the manual na din. You can also consult your suking dealer kung saan mo binili ang AV/R.

Ano ung cdp?

 Nag post na ako sa mismong HK thread sa amplifiers kaso mukhang dead yung thread.
Wala ring nakalagay sa manual tungkol dun.
Sa internet naman may makikita ka kaso pang PC sya. Di ko pa na try ung fix sa pc.

I have the same receiver and I never experienced this delay. Try starting the receiver for a couple of minutes first before you play your ps3 or cdp. Baka yung sinsabi mo na delay eh nakaplay na yung music before you start the AVR or halos sabay lang.

Mukhang startup delay lang kasi nagsi-sync naman after 3 seconds. Normal lang yan kahit sa ibang brand. Mag start syang tumugtog pag nag click na yung relay ng AVR.

Yup startup delay nga sya. Kung normal lang talaga itong issue na ito, well wala na akong magagawa....

i think yan iyong nababasa ko sa ibang forum na sync/locking issues ng signal using HDMI on some not so compatible appliances. try mo subukan gamitin optical/coaxial baka sakaling mawala yan...i have same issues when playing FLAC on my HDPro (NMT) using HDMI pero pag optical/coaxial ok naman.

kahit ba dati nang naka-on ang receiver mo at nag-play ka may delay pa rin? ang tinutukoy nila is the soft-start ng receiver during power-on.

Just as I thought. It's not the receiver's soft start delay. Try to reset the processor.

NOTE: Resetting the processor will erase any configuration settings you have made for speakers, output levels, surround modes, digital input assignments as well as the tuner presets. After a reset the unit will be returned to the factory presets, and all settings for these items must be reentered.
If the system is still operating incorrectly, there may have been an electronic discharge or severe AC line interference that has corrupted the memory or microprocessor.
If these steps do not solve the problem, consult an authorized Harman Kardon service depot.

Nung simula pa lang eh ganito na sya. Try ko gawin yang reset later.

Ok na try ko na yung reset kaso ganun pa rin sya. Ito ata yung tinatawag na silent stream.
