Are tube identifiable by a sonic character, or will this simply be dependent again on overall synergy with the rest of the systems?

Can we simply state that a certain tube will be punchier or bottom heavy than another? Can we simply state that this tube will sound smoother over the other?

If this can be done, can i request that we make a list of tubes that you have used and identify on what would their character be in regards to your system/s?

this would be useful for newbies like me that will try out "tube rolling." This would be used to simply help cut down cost if ever of buying multiple tubes since i or we would based from experiences you had with tubes you have used.

Synergy with the system.  Parang different speakers would sound different if used on different amps. There is no exact rule of the thumb here.

Sir do you mean that a tube amp w/ Tung Sol EL84 Power tubes will not sound different if plugged w/ a cheaper Sylvania or GE el84? Pardon me for the clarification sir newbie pa po sa tubes.

i wouldn't be looking for the differences, i will be more concerned with the whole system, "synergy".....

hearing is subjective, if you believe you can hear differences, there is a great chance you will...

the human brain is a wonderful creation, it is the sum of our experiences, beliefs and emotions, the hearing sensation is processed by our brains with these factors taken together.....

if i were you i will invest in a very good speaker, and then enjoy the music.....rather than think about EL84 types....the el84 is a very good sounding tube......

Noob daw pero sa lufet humakot ang experience eh talo pa mga sinaunang master.  Kelan ba namin madadalaw ang uberlegen 3D HT at sonderklasse HiFi mo.

Nako master, napakalimited ng experience ko sa tubes. Kayo nung master na humakot ng mga preamp tubes ang may K na maglecture samin sa rolling. Kung may high roller sa casino, may Master Luther sa audio.
