1. eraser ng mongol pencil
2. you can try rin to wipe it with a cloth na nilagyan ng WD40. yung cloth ang lagyan mo ng WD40 directly and do not spray the WD40 sa tube mismo.

If the bank account is depleted due to tube purchases every now & then and nothing left to buy cleaning materials for that precious beloved tube, try "abo" that by-product of kalan de uling or your bbq grill, pick the most fine that you can get, sprinkle a pinch on a cotton cloth & rub gently to your hearts content or until the pins become shiny, it works wonders, really :D :D :D. Avoid as much as posible abrassive paper or papel de liha, the silver coating might easily get stripped. ;)

Sir, tube pins ang topic. Hindi hito.   ;D  ;D  ;D

peace sir Efren.  ;)

Pero in fairness, masarap ang hito na prepared that way.  :D

Very informative topic. Never did try to attempt to clean my tubes cuz hindi pa ako nagpapalit.

Wuestion, di ba ang WD40 is conductive?

The same procedure on how I clean my tubes and other contacts. Very effective and affordable..... ;D

It's alright sir just for the sake of discussion ;), we pinoys are known for being resourcefull & creative, btw WD40 is basically oil, and oil is used as insulator (aside from being a lubricant, coolant etc.) in Meralco transformers, oil filled capacitors ( your tube amp probably have one), Vintage power x'formers use oil (in the form of wax or tar, oil has a very high voltage insulating properties.

Just don't spray directly especially at tubes while operating, WD40 in particular has a very low flash point, unless you want to incinirate your tube amp ;D, I remember I used to make flame thrower out of a can of WD40 using a lighter during "kakulitan" days of my long, long past youth ;D ;D ;D

hahaha!!!

@efren noble
