got the ht805 last friday,

pros, dts-cd sounds good and surround sound is acceptable,

cons, when playing usb movies from tv to htib using aux optical, there is an intermittent no audio coming from the speakers lasting from 1-2 secs. happened on several full hd/hd/sd movies and video clips that run and sounds smoothly on the pc. noticed less than 5 times the interruption occurred per file.

this and the backlight bleeding while watching 'the descent' will drive you nuts.

First of all, my unit has no backlight bleeding... Buti na lang!  But I've been occasionally having this sound interruption in some of the movies/tv series I've been watching on my hard drive via the built-in media player.  It was driving me nuts since it seemed to happen every 2 minutes on the last glee episode I watched. 

Then I realized it must be the optical cable since I read somewhere, bawal ma-twist yun optical to a certain degree.  So I tried straightening it out and moving the HT-805 further from the wall para hindi maipit yun dulo nun cable.  Voila!  Seems like the sound interruptions were suddenly gone!  Hopefully it stays that way.

yup power consumption using those digital watt meter will be a good help for us to decide.. the listed power rating of this hdtv is 190watts

Already reserved our units, a 42incher and a 37incher LD460 kanina!!! I've decided to get it full cash payment kasi sayang ang additional charge pag ccard. Thanks sir vic and Ate Hazel for the accomodation. Just let us know kung available na mga units for testing and pick-up! More power to SNS ang suki ng bayan!!!

I think na post ko na reply dito. Sadly, the answer is No.

You need to format your external hard drive to FAT32 file system.  There are a lot of freewares that you can download to format bigger hard drives.

805PM accepts only FAT32 while LD460 accepts NTFS and FAT32.
