bumping this up... there's a procedure to unlock these units (saw a technician do this for my brother's samsung HTIB).

i cant recall anymore... but you can call the Samsung hotline, they will teach you how.

Usually in this case they would discourage in opening SAMSUNG region coded players or they would send some technician to your place & they usually ask for a charge
