R1 vs R3
« on: Nov 11, 2010 at 11:43 PM »
what's the difference between the two, except for the region lock? are R3 really inferior in PQ and SQ compared to R1 dvd's?

i'm not really into features and extras that much. but i do expect to get dvd not vcd quality when purchasing titles. any advice on what locally distributed titles i have to avoid?

thanks in advance. newbie lang kasi ako sa hobby na to

Usually there will be no difference in Picture Quality as they both come from the same master copy.

However, make sure you avoid the locally pressed VIVA titles. The one's selling for php250 or php375.
Also avoid the older C-interactive titles.

DVD's that are fine are Disney, Fox, Sony, Paramount

The most obvious difference is with the packaging..R1 has superb packaging than R3..
