Would it be possible also to use for the Surround speakers? I've read in SVS website and they're not recommending OMNI mounts for center speakers.

BTW thanks for the S-series I was happy to open two of the boxes (Center and surround) but due to time constraint I have to leave the STS box unopen.

yes, di puwede ONE omni mount for the center, but one of them agreed with my suggestion of using TWO omni mounts for the center.  but then the owner of SVS said to just use the tox screw OR make a shelf and use the included tilting mount of the center speaker.

it would be best to either use tox and screw for the surrounds OR get custom mounts like what sir GneW makes (which he and sir macdon personally uses for their SSS surrounds)

mag tox screw nalang kayo sa LCR. secured na ang speakers at mura pa. kelangan lang precise ang pagbutas sa wall.

here's mine,

"look ma, no mounts"

A whole afternoon in Graceland!

Another great Saturday spent with Kapitana Mike and his gorgeous sounding SVS products!  ;D
We spent many hours testing and evaluating the new SVS speakers and subs.......so here's, some highlights of the day:

SVS S-series 02:

SCS-02 - compared to the 01s, I did find a bit of high frequency extension on the 02s compared to the 01s.
Checking the specs revealed that the 02s have a higher 23khz Ferro-fluid cooled tweeter compared to the 20khz silk soft tweeter of the 01s. Obviously, a new xover for the 02s ;) Details float in 3D! Nice!  ;)

Metal Grilles - the driving force behind the company's 02 launch. Sonics remain the same with or without the metal grilles - true performance grilles that would even stop accidental handling and rowdy kids playing around them.
It truly hightens the quality of the S-series to the next level!  ;) Beautiful!

STS-02 (towers) - finally heard the S-series towers........and wow!  :o Having the same SQ of the SCS but with more depth, more full body and louder/bigger soundstage due to a much higher sensitivity than the SCS. Definitely the king of the S-series speakers with its metal grille as its crown!
Both Mike and I really had fun with the STS that we didnt dare connect the speaker wires back to the wall hanged SCS ;D
In addition, the STS base stand with included spike/shoe hardware really rounds up the beauty of this sexy tower ;)
Both music and movies just sounds great with the STS that we just ended our evaluation with just playing around with it and didnt mind the absence of any SSS or SBS speakers to test. ;D Next trip to Graceland will definitely include the SSS-02 dipole as well as the SBS-02 bookshelves ;)

SB12nsd sealed subwoofer

The biggest highlight for me was even prior to testing the SVS 02 speakers - this was when we evaluated the new SB12 subwoofer ;D
I nicknamed the SB12 as the "happy" little subwoofer - 'coz it literally made me happy all over :D With music, the SB12 is hard to beat in its extension and output that I find it more superior to the pb10nsd in all aspects. Playing 80's music brought me back to my car audio days of having a sealed JL audio in my trunk - ohhh, memories!  ;D
With movies, I was amazed in how that little 14" cubed box could rattle many fixtures in Mike's almost 40sqm living/demo room! :o

Mike do suggest that if you have a sealed/dedicated HT/audio setup of less than 20sqm - this would be the perfect sub for you!  ;) The SB12nsd is indeed a fun subwoofer that I would highly recommend as an all around subwoofer!
It may not be as accurate as a pb12, but it has that "gapang" decay that a lot of you will enjoy ;D

For guys like us who experienced the sealed sub setups during our car audio days will surely appreciate that distinct "gapang" - a blast from the past, ika nga!  ;D

Ang saya-saya sir!  ;)

tama ka brader pero sa kaso ng iba yun, i have been contemplating about the STS-02  and martin is alos curiuos about it and since sir mike already has everything laid out sa demo area nya, might as well pay him a visit, makapag unwind na din, its been stressfull sa work, getting to meet the folks again would be nice.

Things are really getting better in Graceland - I particularly like mike's subwoofer switcher, which does it on the fly without pause. Mike also went ahead in having master jojod make a speaker switcher naman so it would be easier to compare different speaker models din ;)

I also believed he improved his "kulam" water 'coz it seems more potent now  :D
