It's a good thing A Dance with Dragons is finally finished. And it looks like it's going to be one THICK book.

I, for one, am going to read the books. Hopefully, I'll finish Book 2 before Season 2 so I'll know what I'll be in for!

Haven't read the books so the ending to Episode 9 was a major WTF!  Been liking this so far - - - although I've only got caught up over the last week (was distracted by the new Doctor Who,and also the old one with Tennant hehe) - - -but  Episode 9 gave me the same frisson as Spooks does practically every season , with regards to raising the stakes and tweaking my comfort zones. Loved it. That scene is on the same superlative level as Omar Little's death in The Wire, I thought.  (Terribly stoked when I saw that Aidan Gillen, who played Tommy Carcetti in the Wire, was in the cast. I am such a nerd. A Wire nerd,at least. Haha)

As favorite scenes go for this Episode , though, mine was the whole sequence inside and outside Drogo's tent.

ok lang tamarin magsulat...kaso papano kung ma-dedo sya bago nya matapos lahat ng books?
kaya nga tumigil na ako magbasa after book 3(yun ang WTF! WTF! WTF!!!) kasi i get emotionally invested in the characters and book 3 was just too painful...

meanwhile from wiki...A character named Trebor Jordayne of the Tor is mentioned in A Storm of Swords; Tor Books is the best-known publisher of fantasy author Robert Jordan, and "Trebor" is "Robert" backwards

Like Robert Jordan, who died before finishing the Wheel of Time series.  I certainly hope GRRM has a contingency plan.

Yeah, Jordan mapped out the last book in the series with very detailed notes. The new writer who took over from Jordan writes fast but then he and Jordan's wife decided to divide the final book into several volumes. I still haven't read the new ones though. I got distracted by other titles. But I'll definitely start on it this year.

Hopefully, Martin does the same thing and map out the remainder of the series. But from what I know the events that happen in Book 5 and 6 occurs simultaneously. He just divided it into the events happening in the North and the South.

Better give Peter Dinklage a trophy, Emmy people, else that would be your second most fatal mistake after snubbing The Wire all these years.

Just found out that Alfie Allen, the actor who plays Theon Greyjoy, is Lilly Allen's brother. The song Alfie in Allen's debut album is about him. :)

Been to a couple of nat book stores but Book 1, A Game of Thrones, isn't available. Also, other books, 2-up, are in paperback and no hard bound. Bummer. Will try Powerbooks next time.

just saw the season finale... mas astig sa book.
pinapadede ni daenerys yung dragons nung natagpuan sya.

The cream-and-gold dragon was suckling at her left breast, the green-and-bronze at the right. Her arms cradled them close. The black-and-scarlet beast was draped across her shoulders, its long sinuous neck coiled under her chin. When it saw Jorah, it raised its head and looked at him with eyes as red as coals.
Wordless, the knight fell to his knees. The men of her khas came up behind him. Jhogo was the first to lay his arakh at her feet. “Blood of my blood,” he murmured, pushing his face to the smoking earth. “Blood of my blood,” she heard Aggo echo. “Blood of my blood,” Rakharo shouted.
And after them came her handmaids, and then the others, all the Dothraki, men and women and children, and Dany had only to look at their eyes to know that they were hers now, today and tomorrow and forever, hers as they had never been Drogo’s.
As Daenerys Targaryen rose to her feet, her black hissed, pale smoke venting from its mouth and nostrils. The other two pulled away from her breasts and added their voices to the call, translucent wings unfolding and stirring the air, and for the first time in hundreds of years, the night came alive with the music of dragons
.

Joffrey is the most annoying character I've seen in a long time. Sarap sampalin. But I'll settle for watching Tyrion do it himself  ;D ;D ;D

I could watch a whole episode of that scene.  :)

Hahahaha. That image works in so many levels, considering Tyrion's new post for the next book/season.

With these "adult" fantasy series getting so much praise, it makes me wonder if "The Hobbit" is going to try to cash in on the growing trend. Halfling on dwarf action, anyone?  ;D
