From Astrovision:

Funny People

Warning: the case says it has the theatrical and extended editions in the disc. FALSE! All it has is the theatrical edition.

No wonder people go the torrent route...  >:(

Did DVD shopping last weekend:

The Family Man - Wow in DTS! But since it's a romantic comedy, it's useless. Good picture quality though.
The Patriot - Never failed to move me. PQ was decent.
Master and Commander - In DTS. Audio was awesome. Picture Quality sucks even when upscaled to 1080p.
War of the Worlds - In DTS. This gives your subs a good workout.
DOA - Got this because it's an eye candy
Shoot em up - In DTS plus it only cost P99 in Odyssey
Jerry Maguire - Bought this on the buy 3 for P200 each from Magnavision
A Man Apart - One of the movies I liked and it only cost P99.
Black Hawk Down - Good enough even if it's only available in Dolby Digital. PQ is also ok.
Kingdom of Heaven - 2 Disc with DTS. One of my favorite movies. Will watch this later.

Dropped by Astroplus today and got the following:

Airforce One - in DTS and made by Viva. Was bracing myself to be disappointed but surprisingly it was good.
Legends of the Fall - From Magnavision, kinda lowtech. No-widescreen and runs on 2-ch audio only.
Forest Gump - Also from Magnavision, runs on widescreen but lacks features. The only extra you will get is the audio commentary---- Who the hell listens to the audio commentary?  ;D

I actually listen to audio commentaries. If it's with the right person, they can be downright fascinating.

yep it is, maybe i just have a short attention span which is why i easily get bored with it.  :D

anyway, dropped by astrovision again and got the ff:

My Bloody Valentine 3D - comes with 3d cardboard cutout glasses. surprisingly it works. just got a bit nauseous.
The Man - in DTS, haven't watched it yet
Apocalypto - I already had this before, but since I left it in our house in the province, I had to get another copy. It's not the DTS version though just the cheap one that cost P175.
Face/Off - it has DTS. Haven't tried this yet. Viva didn't exert any effort to make the case look nice at all.
Bandidas - Don't know what this movie is but it features scantily clad Salma Hayek and Penelope Cruz so I got it.
Blood & Chocolate - It costs P99 pesos. A movie about werewolves(err again???). Browsed through the dvd, i'm happy that it has a lot of features plus it has an option to go widescreen or fullscreen but the movie itself really sucked.
Oliver Twist - Looks pretty low-tech. Haven't browsed this though. It looks like this is gonna run on 2-ch audio. I loved this movie when I saw this as a kid.

Got more DVDs from Astroplus and SM Department store but I don't have time to watch them though:

If only - My Misis loved this movie so we bought it
Interview with the Vampire - We used to own the Laser Disc version of this which is why we got one.
Phantom of the Opera - Same as interview with the vampire
40-year old Virgin - I know this is one corny movie, but it only cost P99.
It can happen to you - Misis liked the movie so we got it.
Butterfly Effect - It's the 2-disc Magnavision DVD that has a theatrical version and director's cut.
The Good Sheperd - Movie looks kinda interesting so I got it.
Pineapple Express - another cornball movie that I got to have a few laughs with.

Got a P99 Alone in the Dark Movie. It's in DTS-ES and Dolby Digital EX. Crappy movie, sound effect wise is decent.
