^ If you like 9 but don't like Tim Burton, then maybe it's because 9 is not directed by Tim Burton. He is only the producer. The actual director is Shane Acker.

Ooops! Sorry hehe! I just assumed it was he who directed because I saw his name somewhere in the credits, my bad... :D

Actually, its not really a DVD i watched. Its just a ripped copy so I didnt bother to look it on the net. And no cover to read through.  ;)

Piranha

-a total boob and gorefest! The effects of some mutilated limbs looked unreal. But I just found the CGI of the severed penis peculiar and funny. I literally jumped on the last scene! Awesome!

SAW II

Even though the ugly-looking-main menu from VIVA, I'm quite satisfied with the quality of the film even though it had too much gore.  :P

Twilight Zone The Movie

-another repeat viewing. This is a compilation of 4 short stories- 1. A story about a loser against Jews, blacks who was transported back in Hitlers time, Vietnam war 2. Sunnyvale- a story about an elderly black guy who goes around nursing homes making old people experience being young again 3. A story about a boy Anthony who could make things happen on his own will 4. A story about a paranoid flight passenger who saw some creature on the wing of the plane. Had a very strong cast of a young Dan Akroyd, Kathleen Quinlan, John Lithgow and Combat's Vic Morrow.  This is trully a classic. How I miss watching the TV series.

"Hey... you wanna see something really scary?"

I went for musical marathon: ;D

Hairspray - really fun to watch, singing and dancing was totally great; definitely with high repeat value

Grease - nice but performance were only exceptional for grease lightning and summer night, solo performances was really nice; I like to old feel vibe

Wizard of Oz - I watched several times already, colors are great; high repeat value for me
Rent live on broadway- this version is much better than the movie; full of energy and rhythem; I say no day but today

Other movies:

Sense and sensibility - I think the cast is great and pacing of the movie is really suttle

Oliver Twist - this is the 2005 version; this adaptation is okay but for me average compared to other releases; costumes and set is great thought for this Polinksy version

Love Actually - this movie warms the heart even its not Christmas anymore

2010:Moby Dick

-this movie has B-movie written all over it.  CGI and special effects wasn't refined at all.  Could've thought for a moment I was watching a locally made monster movie. This gargantuan whale has an appetite for metal...imagine engulfing a sub and a helicopter! Herman Melville must have been rolling over his grave on this one!

I Spit on your Grave

-this movie is about rape which might be offensive to some women.  But it was redeemed later on by the manner revenge was executed to the offenders. Brutality and gore at its finest. For those men who will watch this, you will literally choke and puke on the payback scenes.

As Sarah Tobias took her revenge through the courts in The Accused, Jennifer Hills took it in her own hands in I Spit on your Grave.

Mr. Nice Guy

-this is one of Jackie's best movies with well choreographed stunts that are just jaw dropping. I find his movies in this era more fun to watch than the later Hollywood flicks such as Shanghai Noon and Rush Hour. Definitely one of Jackie Chan's movies you shouldn't miss. Two thumbs up!
