This is available a loooong time ago in the USA, but is just seeing the light of day locally, still a good buy if you haven't upgraded to Bluray and don't have it in your collection:

Are these R3 versions? Astro sold these several years ago locally but you had to place a reservation because of limited stocks. Got my R1 extended edition of ROTK from them that way. A friend also got his R1 extended edition of FOTR right off Astro's shelf.

P899 each is an amazing value price if they're all R1 versions. The only advantage of the BD version of these is the ramped up visuals, sound and Costa Botes documentaries. Still, these three are must-haves.

Region Code is not printed on box, so we might have to wait for someone to buy them to find out. But my guess is that it will be Region 3.

I believe you're right. The box itself is made of thin cardboard, unlike the former's hard faux-leatherbound cardboard box. But the printing looks good, not so much for the back that lists all the special features and specs. I think whether it's R3 or R1 won't be a factor, though, because if it retains the same good quality as the original extended edition releases then they're still great value for those who haven't had the chance to own the trilogy set.

Got this earlier. It's hard to tell if it's the edited or unedited version because of the same run times. Just have to watch it. If you hear Adele cursing up a storm onstage (which she famously did) then we got the "unedited" version

Just watched the DVD. It should be the "unedited version" as Adele does curse a lot.
