Non-Apple Audiophile acceptable portable music players
« on: Jan 05, 2011 at 01:11 AM »
I just wanted to get opinions on non-apple portable audio sources that are acceptable to an audiophile's taste. Off the bat I would think the higher end Creative line of players would be a good candidate as they support FLAC format.

Are there any others out there? Possibly one that offers a digital output?  Thanks.

If you want to go audiophile, the Chinese designed and made equipment may be a good alternative such as Hifiman (high end) or Cube (lower end). Sansa makes good sounding players at bottom prices, but these are not the best available.
