i'd been to their branch at robinsons manila & saw the following (but did not audition any of them!  ::)) the following acoustic fidelity power amps:

1) model 15 (15pwc) for PhP 16.0k
2) model 34 (25pwc) for PhP 23.5k
3) model 88 (40pwc) for PhP 25.5k

hth.   ;D

is the price of the model15 per monoblock or for a pair already? btw I tried experimenting with my tube amp (bought at phasetron) and used my nad receiver as a preamp and used as a dac for my dvd player. The improvement in dynamics (it doesn't sound compressed even if i turn up the volume) was very audible and not subtle. I guess an active preamp is what I need for the amp I bought to sound its best  ;D

The model 15 I think is the mono KT88 I looked at. Again I only saw two tubes so I guess its ss rectified.

yup,I saw the amps but didn't ask around because the attendant was not that accomodating. but is it 16k per amp or for a monoblock pair already ???

guys,

been to phasetron psquare today and saw newly arrived tube amps. 300b 8 watts/ch amp costs 35k while 6550 15watts/ch amp costs 16k plus. Oks lang ba kung SS rectifier ang ginamit kaysa sa tube rectifier? I auditioned them both. Oks naman sana kaso they used 86db 3 way celestion speaker kaya cguro medyo bitin.

oh dumating na pala yung 300B, the last time I went there I only saw a kt88 based amp that can run 15watts x 2. Well if it uses ss rectification the sound is not as "tubey" as one with tube rectification, not that its really bad IMHO. If u want one with tube rectification you can have one custom made for you :)

Auditioned the 15w EL34 Phasetron amp. Conditions weren't ideal. The 5th Ave booth was blasting away with a DVD demo next door. Then the amp was driving an 86db Celestion. Finally, Rod Stewart is not my cup of tea so none of the details were familiar.

I hope I get a second audition before it is sold. But I am interested in the P12.5k 8w EL34. Hope it arrives soon.

Hyperaudio trading is located at the Corner of Filmore and Calatagan sts, Palanan, Makati.  It's near Cash & Carry.  The Showroom is right beside the Reyes Haircutters salon.

Hope this helps.
