1600x1024 not the native resolution of the x20. Try to set the resolution to the native resolution of the X20.

You were able to force a plasma way above it's native resolution?  Where did it get the extra pixels?  Can you show us a picture of the X20 set at 1600x 1024?   Meron bang overscan?

I've done the same thing with HD-CRTs but it's analog TV and it overscans.

Thanks Erj2daizzo,

Now I got it.  By using VGA, it appears your plasma is identified as an analog display hence with more leverage in terms of resolution settings.

But it still surprises me that you can choose a resolution that is higher than 1024x768 which is the native rez of the X20.   According to the V20 manual, my full HD plasma has a maximum resolution of only 1MP using VGA (that is WXGA at 1365x768).   The same applies for the rest of the full HD Panasonic models both for plasmas and LCDs.

Question is, what does your manual say about the X20's maximum/optimum rez via VGA? It has to be no more than 1024x768.  But then you mentioned about the ghosting.  The quality of VGA is one possibility as some members have already mentioned because analog connection (especially with long cables) is susceptible to "interference" and that ghosting does appear like interference to me.  However, I also suspect "overscan".  From your sample pics, overscan is obvious based on the location of the upper corner icon - notice the upper tip of the icon is extending out of the viewable area. I dont know how it is done via the Nvidia's control panel but with ATI's CCC, there is a manual setting to "zero" overscan (and underscan).  Also, there might be an overscan disable option within the X20 menu itself.  Hence, can you should to set to 1024x768 (or whatever max resolution via VGA is described in the manual) para one-to-one ang ratio with the native rez, and then find out for sure if overscan/underscan is already zeroed.

Please keep us posted.

Cheers!

kso sir ndi tlga matanggal ung ghosting, malamang vga cable tlga ung problem :D
