My dv-600av's HDMI is version 1.2a and I need at least 1.3 for it to work on my LCD TVs. Will a firmware update solve this? Can I do it myself or should I just bring it to a service center?

I don't think there is such FW provision for doing such an upgrade. Usually, you will require a hardware upgrade. Try contact the manufacturer for verification.

thanks for the warning. will try to contact pioneer for verification. i bought this model hoping that i can use its hdmi when HD LCDs are more affordable. turns out i bought it too early

still doesnt work after a firmware update at an authorized service center. Asked them to check with pioneer.

nakalit yung hdmi indicator sa player pero blank yung toshiba at samsung lcd walang madetect na signal ang tv. Di ko na observe yung audio kasi yung pioneer htib ko by default no audio out via hdmi kaya di ko muna tinest ang audio. Both tv and cables work sa htib. Try ko paguwi ang audio.

Wala pa kong lcd nung nabili ko ang player a few years back kaya first time ko matest although baka natest sa store. Sa manual ng samsung at least hdmi 1.3 daw dapat. Kahit sa laptop gumagana ang lcd via hdmi.

i have 2 hdmi cables and they work sa pioneer htz171 htib, thinkpad, samsung la22c350 at toshiba 32av600e.

Nag offer ang service center iforward sa pioneer ang player pero sabi ko pakiverify muna kung puede talaga ma upgrade. Ginagamit kasi sa sala using rca.
