what are they exactly because I've never heard of them?

They're the DVD's with poor printing and cheap looking cases to keep cost down.
They sell as low as php100

at eto pa worse--

i recently bought one of the 3 discer superfriends boxset thinking at at P225 sale (50% off P450) this is quite a steal.

when i played it at home, the quality was horrendous.  parang VCD.  to my surprise, VCD pala talaga!  so it's a VCD in DVD packaging.  true enough nakalagay nga dun sa boxset na VCD.  but can you blame me for not checking?  naka boxset ng DVD kaya i thought DVD.

i returned immediately to astro.  buti naman they accepted my reasoning.

so beware if those kiddie boxsets.  they're VCD in a DVD packaging.

Same thing happened to me with the Road Runner boxed set. Shock of my life when I played it, then just noticed the words VCD instead of DVD on the packaging after the fact.
