Just the same i cut below and reported your observation.

hmm, affected when copying... does it happen even if it prompts "copy completed"? id understand if power off midway.

IMO, sa externals and bare seems an sync;sync; in their powerdown sequence is needed. plus a force dismount(i.e. if a file/node/folder is open, it unmounts it by force and flush the cache) would do it.

as to the copying, if it copy completes, then the release of the fs volume remains in use, despite completion.

i am guessing at this point, from an OS' fs view.

yup, it happens even if copy is completed successfully.

i have done everything possible here even going to the Home window after stoping the Playback and waiting for 2minutes before shutting it down with the remote power button somehow giving it time to terminate any process but to no avail.

this is a FW issue that needs to be fixed by egreat, anyways seems like their focus right now is for the new Chipset support.

vortex1's problem happens to me as well. My external drives are being scanned by my desktop (running on win7) though it finds no errors.

yup, it's not gonna find any error yet bro but eventually if this happens all the time your HDD will have bad sectors or may affect the MBR and will not be detected by the PC (Hard Disk Failure).

will try to remove the ext. esata HD, then reboot...result to follow

would rollback to old firmware solve it? i'm under the impression that the 3-in-1 R200 (1073) firmware is the currently installed, and that the experience on the filesystem unmount concern for bare SATA and USB shows for both version .39 and .39 (3-in-1).

please confirm.

I think the old firmware worked. so far windows opens the HDD drive without scanning it. thanks for the info. i'll still be checking it by using it often to really know that the issue has already been resolved.

I really hope there's still new firmware for this NMT from egreat. Else, they're only good at developing new models and then stops supporting the older ones which I think is not good for their business.

turned it off,,,saka kinabit ko sa loob, nabasa ulit...

, kala ko nawala na mga files..andon pa rin pala

yup sir jim...noticed ko to na di nadetect ang internal hdd after na magdelete ako ng files(2 music folder)..
di na nya nadedetect ang internal hdd, kaya nilipat ko sa ext sata connector at nadetect naman sya after which saka ko binalik sa internal dock nya

Sir Jim, share ko lang ulit after using the R200 for a while with the latest firmware. I can attest na mas mabilis na talaga both yun boot up and HDD detection compared to the previous FW

I'm also experiencing the same issue that Vortex and Sardaukar have. Even if I power down the HDD attached to the USB, it still gets scanned whenever I plug the HDD into my PC.

Just revert to the old FW sir. the non 3in1 version. so far after multiple testing done, my laptop doesn't perform HDD Scandisk anymore on all the HDDs I have. hth.

both FW are versioned 1.00.39.

), ayaw mag tuloy ng boot up ng R-200 ko

minsan pag matagal hindi ginamit ok naman, tapos after one time use ayun ayaw na naman mag boot up.

pwede ba to ireset? firmware update? o paperweight na sya?

Sir jim i downloaded the file. In a fat 32 flash disk. Extracted it to the root.folder then plugged it in pero hindi sya nag auto rjn hindi sya nadetect.

drop the unit+remote kina annot, ako na bahala, if it powers up properly, ma flash pa yan. send it soon
