price wise, i think the alternative buy for the tsi 300 would be the 10.6. both are priced almost the same, if im not mistaken.

Yeah I think it would match though Wharfe's famously match well with Yamaha AVR's  :)

it still depends on your listening preference. the pioneer is generally considered as bright sounding, while the wharf is warm that's why most say they go well with each other because the sound quality they produce becomes balanced. others say the onkyo is warm, but for me its neutral, so to each his own. sound is subjective.

yup. ;) try avshop, they sell polk,wharf and onkyo products. listening to them personally will make your decision easier.

Go for TSi 300, we did an apple to apple comparison of this two speakers,
TSi 300 is thumbs up specially when it comes to clarity.
I'm using a Yamaha AVR and tsi300, it really sound well, imo.
BDW, my friend is using a Pioneer AVR, it sounds well too.

are your choices limited to these speakers? i would suggest you audition first, your preference may change after that.

Some of the newer Yamahas are quite warm-sounding though. The character has changed significantly from 2 product generations ago. This difference seems to be more pronounced than the change that Onkyo implemented for their current model lineup.

audition is the key. also don't limit your self to the 2 brands baka pag nag audition ka you may hear other brands that would suite your taste.

don't ask for the price...audition mo muna, libre naman ito ;)
