Promo that will help you make the switch to Blu-ray
« on: Mar 19, 2011 at 11:15 AM »
just want to share

Here's a promo that will help you make the switch to Blu-ray: Philips Philippines is holding a trade-in promo which will give anyone with a working or non-working DVD, VCD, LaserDisc, micro-DVD, VHS, or Betamax player a P6,000 discount on a brand-new Philips BDP2700 Blu-ray player.

From today until April 3, the BDP2700 will be offered at a discounted price of P8,990 (down from 14,990) to anyone who brings in their old console to the following electronics stores.

    * Anson's The Link
    * Anson's Pasig
    * Anson's Pasong Tamo
    * Anson's Trinoma/Landmark
    * Anson's Cash & Carry
    * Robinsons Appliances Metro East
    * Robinsons Appliances Lipa
    * Robinsons Appliances S&R The Fort
    * Robinsons Appliances Pampanga
    * Robinsons Appliances Galleria
    * Robinsons Appliances Tagaytay
    * Robinsons Appliances Novaliches
    * Robinsons Appliances Marquee

And if you still think the price is still a little too steep, you'll be happy to know that a 0% interest scheme is in effect. No sense in dilly-dallying. It's pay day, and we know you're just dying to spend your money on something.

That Philips Blu-ray player was 10th a couple of months ago (without any trade-in promo) when I was shopping around for one. I eventually got my LG BD-550 for 7,900.

This is a dud! Anya is selling newer models from time to time at lesser price than this entry level player by Philips! 110v nga lang kasi galing US.

It looks like this doesn't handle DTS-HD audio signals?

Saw in LG's summer brochure at SM North EDSA that their bluray player BD550 is priced also at P8,990.00. It has everything for an entry level unit. Might as well get this rather than the "old" Philips player if your in the hunt. ;D

At the SM Appliance Store, D' Block at North EDSA. Since nakalagay naman yung price sa brochure, which I got one, maybe available sa lahat ng appliance stores selling LG products. Kaya lang mas mura pa rin kay Anya ang bd players, newer models pa. ;D
