OMG! Several months ago, yung prices ng TVs sobrang taas. Dahil nga siguro sa wait-and-see attitudes ng mga buyers.
Now that the economic outlook for the Philippines is looking good, investors are willing to dive for lower prices to drive consumption among Filipinos.
And yes, after some time, I have observed that more and more Filipinos are lured into consumerism. This is actually good kasi it will encourage more investors and the more products floating in the market with higher turnover, the cheaper they become. In turn, more economic activity will spur more investments and generate more jobs. And then finally, we can experience real growth in micro level, which is the ultimate gauge kung talagang umuunlad ang economy ng isang bansa at hindi lang yung mga mayayaman ang nagbebenefit.
And to think that 51" 3D TV ay nagkakahalaga ng 50k is something really good.
at 51" plasma, 720p and full HD do not really have that much difference if you watch from more than 6 feet. Trust me. Hindi ganun kapino yung pixel ng plasma, parang sumasabog, unless lumayo ka. Maganda lang yung kulay but in terms of clarity and resolution, LCD/LED is still the clear winner.
So, 720p is not really big of a deal especially if your screen is below 55". That is also the same recommendation given by David Katzmaier, Cnet guru who has reviewed hundreds of HDTV.
