Yes, as far as I know its 6 months.

An update on mine: Cdrking replaced my unit. That's great news. I guess they can't repair it. I'm pretty satisfied bec. they replaced my player,

but I'm really scared on the reliability of this player.

I think its 6 months again. I don't know if I was too depressed (bec. of its reliability

) or too happy na they replaced it that I forgot to ask them.

Ot: I bought a 1 tb internal from pc gilmore and i'm very lucky again on the warranty

. A day before the 1 year warranty na return ko.

Anyway they gave me a new one and I asked the same question above. The bad news is the new unit will no longer have the one year warranty. I kept arguing with them that this is a new unit. What if nasira after 3 months? Wala na daw yan, they just base the warranty on the orig purchase date.

Re: Your HDD's Warranty Coverage

Most HDD makers can RMA their defective products based on the date of manufacture (you can check the manufacturer's website for a S/N verification of DOM, and the return merchandise authorization procedure). If the replacement unit is pretty new, they can still replace/repair that unit if it fails. However, it's up to you to ship the item to the manufacturer.

The sad part is that Customs sometimes taxes the replacement item.

I guess having some proof that it's an in-warranty replacement item would help waive the fee.

I'd like to add that warranty replacement units can be recertified and/or refurbished units. These items may or may not have the same warranty coverage as brand new units. If the manufacturer covers the original product with a warranty period that exceeds the coverage of the replacement unit (many bnew HDDs these days are covered for 3-5 years by the maker), keeping the original proof of purchase may help in case of future problems with the replacement unit.

Mine's still working. May minor bugs na naaayos naman kapag ni-reset mo kaya, so far, I'm happy with it.

Thanks. Eto na lang bibilhin ko. Muntik na akong bumili ng samsung bd d5100. sabi kasi sakin open for all regions yung DVD. Buti na lang nag research muna ako at nagtanong tanong dito sa PDVD.

Just keep the receipt and make sure they tell you about the warranty period.

My advice, save up and purchase a proper Blu-ray player and not this turd.

Of course they can't sell it until there's a price advisory from their head office.

Nangyari din yan sa mga Extenal HD nila and Battery grip for SLR kahit yung mga inexpensive items such as plastic/box organizer, nakadisplay lang muna at hindi nila maibebenta pa.

ask ko lang sa mga merong BDP-190. kaka bili ko lang last week

pero parang may experience na akong issue. na try ako mag play ng mp4 thru USB at nag play naman sya ng walang problem

pero nung na burn ko na sa dvd-r hindi na sya ma play ng player. minsan na pplay yung file pero nag skip.

possible kaya na burn ko yung dvd sa 16x speed? ano kaya issue nito?

after lowering the burn speed from 16x to 8x using the same dvd-r brand (Philips), napplay na din ng player yung mga movies ko. thank you sa suggestion.

I saw an HP Bluray player on stock at the CD-R King Techno Hub branch. I was already about to leave when I saw it. I asked how much it was but the salesperson said they don't have a price for it yet.
