Treme

Anyone watching this HBO series? I've come to like it, as it depicts the lives of working-class people (musicians, chefs, Mardi Gras Indians) in New Orleans who struggle to rebuild right after Hurricane Katrina. The music in particular is noteworthy, with actual musicians like Elvis Costello, Tom McDermott, Allen Toussaint and many others guesting in various episodes.

Treme was created and developed by David Simon and Eric Overmyer, the same team who worked on The Wire. The first season has 10 episodes, and the series has been renewed for a second season.

Cast includes Khandi Alexander, Rob Brown, Steve Zahn, Melissa Leo, Kim Dickens, John Goodman, Michiel Huisman, Wendell Pierce, India Ennenga, and David Morse. Jon Seda (The Pacific) will join the cast for the 2nd season.
