Bro, ngayon ko lang nabasa post mo.hehehe! Yes! it does make a difference setting night mode to comfort mas malakas volume. Pag naka off mas mahina volume when watching movies such mkv, avi, etc...

question ulit mga sir, yung TV SYSTEM pwede ilagay ko na lang sa "hdmi auto" instead of 720p 60hz or 1080p 60hz?
or mas ok pag specific?

I do specific, kasi some HDMI has wrong handshake

Sir, as you recommended, I connected a USB printer cable from netbook to the NMT slave port (the one with a 5-sided connector on the other end). When I plugged them together, the NMT (TV screen) shows

Enter USB OTG mode...

But then my netbook doesn't seem to detect the device.
(I cannot see the drives connected to the R1-ii as a drive in the netbook).

I am using an Asus netbook dual-booting Win7 and Linux. Cannot seem to detect the NMT on either OS.

T4G: what's the filesystem of your disk? are you using NTFS or EXT3?

I also used 2 different USB printer cables already -- one that came with our Epson printer, and one I bought from Handyman --- hindi pa rin makita yung NMT/drives

ONE MORE QUESTION: What is the setting on the NMT so that it won't automatically scan the external HDD everytime I power ON the unit? Nakalagay naman sa SETUP > SYSTEM > SCAN STORAGE = Auto Scan OFF pero it seems it still scans the disk pa rin everytime. $:-\$

T4G: what's your FW version? what unit R6Aii/R1ii/R180/R160

Sir, I would just like to confirm if Egreat R1-ii can recognize 3TB hard disk connected via the NMT's SATA port.
Malapit na kasi mapuno yung 1.5TB ko and I'd like to upgrade to 3TB sana.

yes it can support. check out mo rin yung expansion enclosures natin and docks, (2.5" and 3.5" SATA HDD, and 4bay baka madami kang nakakalat djan sa house mo na ma recycle sayang din).

Notes on the 3TB:

make sure you use Windows 7 and GUID Partition Table (GPT) para kita mo isang 3TB lahat.
make sure din your 3TB is connected directly or if via a DOCK that supports 3TB para wala hassle.
Dun ako natagalan dati, since gusto ko 3TB isang partition.
forget cloning,if you also want to transfer contents from a 2TB to 3TB, (well unless your 2TB was also prepared via windows 7/GPT )

Anong firmware loaded bro? pls PM, including Serial Number,

when you say irerestore did you mean power up or nag flash reinstall ka?

#1. install/restore firmware via power on and hold the restore button for 5-10 seconds (just to be sure) while your USB stick containing the install.img firmware from egreatworld.com

I was a bit off with the format. It was not ASS but HDMV/PGS subs which Egreat said is not supported.

Hi sir toys4geeks...

As discussed with you, it seems the R1-ii doesn't support 3TB hard disk if connected via bare SATA port (ito pa naman inquiry ko sa iyo before... quoted above $:-\$ ). It seems weird kasi yung 3TB ko when placed inside an enclosure tapos i-connect sa NMT via usb 2.0, nakikita naman.

By the way, I observed that when I turn on my R1-ii with 3TB connected via enclosure/usb, matagal ang loading before I can scan the contents. I timed it: more or less 3 MINUTES ang dapat lumipas!

Naka-Auto Scan Off na nga pero ganun din katagal mag-load. Ganun ba talaga ang loading time kapag 3TB? Is there a tweak/setting that I need to do para mapabilis ang loading time?

Gusto ko talaga connected via bare SATA coz loading is around 30 seconds lang....

When you are all set, Realtek 1185 units from egreat has the following capability:
While in File manager, you can press the yellow button to go to:
COVER ART MODE (allows you to browse the cover art, and click [OK] will show you the poster and [OK] plays the movie
POSTER ART MODE (allows you to browse 1 page ful of POSTER at at time, navigate left, or right, then click OK to play movie

Its not YAMJ, but heck does the job.

Egreat 3D Media players are Realtek 1186 , and still does not have this feature but i already requested.

Also how to have movies show them as thumbnail? Also if i play .ts format, it plays audio but video stops, can this be fixed, saw that firmware is may 2012.

Congratulations! PM me your friend's handle and your unit's S/N, and AVR model. If AVR supports it, set your Audio to raw.

Is it with all the .ts or a particular title. PM me the info screenshot, audio continues to play but no videos? Ill check with egreat if there's new firmware.

quickie - I usually get the thumbnails from IMDB and right click save them to the folder of the mkv file.
but if you have a disk full of movies, I'd suggest thumbgen para you enjoy thumbnail, COVERART, POSTERART modes.

The posterview mode in 1185 (R6A-ii,R180, R160) are really fast,
The coverart view (particularly the thumbnail rescaling appears slow as it repaints. Sa Sigma, kaya matulin, it saves it in a folder all the miniature cover kaya its blazingly fast when you are in thumbnail (even at 8 columns x 3 rows) full.
