That's because I think 24 isn't finished shooting all of it's 24 episodes. FOX wants 24 to air straight and uninterrupted week after week. Due to the writer's strike, production has been shut down and won't resume until the strike is resolved.

Jack Bauer is a lost soul trying to find his place in the world and regain a sense of equilibrium while building houses for the poor in Africa. it's not really a pilot/season premiere that's why it's really weak.. it's more of a prequel to season 7.. and the dvd has an extended version of it.. around 10 mins more daw plus the 1st 16mins of season 7..

I was under the impression that they already shot about 10 episodes last year which they shelved (because of the writer's strike). Would anyone know if the episodes now are those episodes or are these completely new?

Was able to download Episodes 1 and 2 yesterday and was caught unawares na may Episodes 3 and 4 right away.

I was sorta guessing Jack catches Tony at the halfway mark of the series coz I expected the series to milk the cat and mouse chase between the two former CTU heads; but punching each other at the end of Episode 2? Wow!

I hope Tony really turns out a bad guy and not predictably being undercover.
