Author Topic: Got me an Egreat S800 NMT..Now with GUI pics.. (Read 9132 times)

I loved the Egreat R200 i purchased about a week or two weeks ago and then so i decided to get another one(R200 will be used by my kids). This time an upgrade from R200. So far right now i'm still playing with this toy and will post my feedback with this unit para dun sa interested. I dont know if somebody already has same NMT but i hope this helps para dun sa gusto bumili. I am no way related with toys4geeks or selling egreat items, i just wanted to help those who are interested on having this model as an option..

Compared with the R200

I didnt get the one with the wifi antenna, planning to use wired, or later on na lang ang wifi module

My unit came with 1.5TB WD HDD, the one on the left(green colored one) the rest are all mine. Will be connecting all of those to the unit.

Remote against r200(the smaller one) S800 is illuminated cool....

Testing the unit.. Everything works..

Sample PQ, Can somebody teach me how to take pictures nang walang lines

This is it for now. I'm still playing with the functionalities and features nang S800...

So far i'm very very happy with it....Will post more feedback..When i get back from batangas...

check the fps of your movie/tv. your camera shutter speed should be lower eg if your movie/tv is 30fps shutter speed should be slower than 1/30 like 1/20

nag htpc ka din ba sir?

kasi i tried an xtreamer before and a wdtv live, and the image quality is just crap compared to htpc using mpc-hc with all the settings tweaked.

but i dont have experience with egreat, popcorn hour...

Nope sir, no experience with HTPC... I can only compare this with a PS3 in terms of PQ...

So far the PQ of both my R200 and S800 are really really great...I still need to play more with my S800.. sample movie testing pa lang nagagawa ko.. Di pa ako nakaka panood nang full movie...or tried other movies....

Hey bro, that's the refresh rate of your LCD screen!
You must be using a faster shutter speed so you are able to capture the process of refreshing.

Yup.. Tested lowering my shutter speed and lines gone.. Hirap lang kasi pasmado kamay ko ha ha ha

Ive been comparing the S800 with R200 with regards to PQ last night.

Connected both on my TV playing same content with differences of about 15 seconds of playtime via HDMI 1 and 2 in my panasonic full hd lcd. Picture settings in my lcd HDMI 1 and 2 are same.

Moving av inputs 1 and 2 to check the differences of the 2.

Sharpness i cant see any differences, but i find the S800 more vibrant than the R200. If you are in Photography S800 is Nikon Color, R200 is Canons color. I've been in photography for 7 years and i experienced owning both mid level gear. So those into photography here will know what i'm saying...

In short, both treated color quality differently. Parehong maganda ang pag render nila nang kulay nang film.

Yun naman meron so messy e8hd, I got one before hoping to sell pero stomped when I saw PQ , considering same price na siya ni r200.
I figured while it may be a plus to have backlit remote, discerning buyer get their NMT for it's video output wow factor.for it's price , messy doesnt have a video dispay front panel. Ayun Ang story kaya messy is in the kitchen area for Tagalog avi playback Sa 15" tv

Looks much more like A/V equipment. Congrats bro. Remember to bring it when you come over, malapit na, I'd be very interested to compare it side by side the XTreamer. Hopefully released na yung new firmware nila.
