Sarah Michelle Gellar returns to TV in this one hour thriller series set to premiere on The CW this fall. In
Ringer, Gellar plays twin sisters Bridget & Siobhan, who have been estranged in recent years. On the run from the mob, Bridget reluctantly takes the identity of her more successful sister Siobhan, only to discover that Siobhan's life is fraught with danger, with a bounty placed on her.
Cast includes Sarah Michelle Gellar, Nestor Carbonell, Ioan Gruffudd, Mike Colter, Tara Summers, Kristoffer Polaha.
Ringer is also co-produced by Gellar, who is credited as one of the executive producers. In a surprising twist, the series was first announced as a CBS pilot, but the network eventually passed it over and was in turn picked up by their sibling network The CW, marking a return of sorts for Buffy to the network that made her famous.
