Input scrolling lines on 42PJ350R
« on: May 09, 2011 at 05:25 AM »
Mga sirs,

I am experiencing noise lines when watching dvd. I contacted LG and they sent a tech guy the next day.

The LG tech made some check ups.  We tried connecting the cables in Component 1 & 2  and AV1 & AV2 inputs as well. Horizontal lines was only prominent in Component 2 input.  We tried also using a different dvd player but still the Component 2 shows scrolling lines.

I told the tech guy to replace my unit with a new one. He said it will take time for this since it will have to undergo approvals. We took pictures of the evidence and sent it to them.

Did you experience this in your PJ? What's the fix?

TIA

Have you tried different video cables?

Also, if its help, always isolate and keep away power cords, AVRs, powerlines from video cables.

^you're right, my previous plasma utilizing component cables from my ps3 and 360 used to have faint horizontal lines because of proximity to power sources or cables, i could see the horizontal lines fading in and out while moving the cable's proximity to the different power sources/cables behind the tv.. since upgrading to my now 50pk500r and utilizing hdmi, video outputs are now crystal clear   ;D

Yes, we tried different cables and dvd players. But it is still there. Will this happen if I use HDMI? Hopefully not. Do I need my plasma replaced? Thanks guys!

Got my PJ350 replaced with a newer unit (January 2011). No hassle. Good job LG and AV Surfer Alimall!
