got another surplus CD player today, I now have Sony 333ESD CD Player. I chose this against Denon DCD-1300. I also saw a Kenwood 1100D CD player, thinking of partnering this with the surplus Kenwood KA-1100SD amp. Anybody has an idea about the player?

madami daw darating na CD players in the next succeeding weeks but don't know the exact dates yet.

. papalitan ko tong denon na nabili ko yesterday, nag skip sa ibang cd ko at d makabasa ng orig. cd.

ok yan sir check it thoroughly and play a lot of cds as possible.

denon dcd-770, gusto ko kasi tunog nya kaya lang may skipping problem although sa ibang cd lang naman. papalitan ko ng ibang model cguro. d mo pa ba nakaklimutan tunog ng tubo

balita ko mag tube preamp ka daw hehehe.....ay OT na.

That's a nice CD player you got. Notice the original price at Y89,800 which is about $800. No wonder the local audiophile shops didn't sell it here in the '80s. I tested it a week ago and it played all CDs fed, even 3.5-inch CD-Rs. Sound is decent too and would be better as you match it with the right equipment. Maraming darating na CD players kasi binagsak ng Hapon ang presyo nila for such equipment. Here in Davao it used to be sold by the Japs to retailers at P1K per unit. Yesterday, I saw a revised list and the price was down to P600. For surplus shoppers out there, baka ibagsak din sa Pier ang presyo (unless they first dispose of old stocks) when the new batch arrives. The adjusted retail price should be from P1.5 to P2K.

don't think so. kasi ang logic nila is that brand new China-made VCD players that also play CDs are priced as low as P1.5K. so, consumers would be attracted to those equipment than go into surplus CD players. yes, an artificial demand surge could happen, but then, it would settle to the correct level sooner or later. kasi hindi naman ganun karami ang audio enthusiasts natin.

thanks sir. I'm matching this player with the surplus Sony 333ESX II. My problem now is my other surplus Sony CD player (CDP-990) skipping problem and unable to read some discs, cleaned only with a CD cleaner. No problem so far with Onkyo C-200 and Tehnics SL-P555.

does your technic play cdrs? i have an sl-p999 but somehow i becomes picky with cdrs, generally i will only read its content (how many tracks recorded) but once you push the play button, it would bulged.... naka indicate trying to play the track but the track time meter wont show. No problem with pirateds though. d ko 2loy mapakingan jhenna ko...... hehehe.

btw how do you find the sonic qualitites of the technics sir, vis-a-vis the onkyo and the sony?
