Thanks Sandawa.

I found this sa Pier. Thinking of buying it. Ok p naman when I demoed it.

Bilis pa magbasa. Mabigat - 8.6kg based sa link.

Power consumption is 25W. Medyo mataas compared sa ibang hi-end CDP. And the tranny is quite big. May heat sink pa nga eh. And it is isolated. The Tranny and the heat sink is enclosed in a "cubicle".

The build is solid. di mo nga kaya ugain iyong tray while it is open. Very rigid.

Sir, kung nagbabasa ng CD-R kunin mo na, sayang. Tama yung criteria mo, usually, faster reader, heavier build, the better. Posibleng napalitan na ang optical lens nyan, in that case suwerte ka. Wag ka lang bibili ng ganyan katanda ng over P2.5K, kasi, it could suffer a breakdown anytime.

Sir Sandawa,

Nagbabasa nga po ng CD-R. at mabilis magbasa. I brought some of my CD-R's last sunday sa pier
for demo and nababasa naman niya. I asked the sales person to open it for me and napakadumi nga
sa loob. I dont know if it automatically means di pa nagagalaw.

I am afraid wala na ito. 2 units lang ang available na ganito last sunday. Iyong isa mabagal magbasa kaya itinabi na nila. Naku, sana wala p nakakakuha non. Kapos lang ako last Sunday kaya di ko ito nakuha.

Madami ako test na ginawa sa unit na ito last sunday.
I brought some heavily scratched CDs and nababasa niya.

while on CD playback, I also tapped the unit repeatedly to detect any skipping pero hindi siya tumatalon.
Of course nang medyo malakas na iyong tap tumatalon na.

Sana may 701ES.

dinig ko better sounding kesa technics pero mas mapili siya magbasa... no problem though with non-pirated cds...grabe ang build quality nito, punong puno ang loob 2 layers pa...have no complaint with the price i paid:D

Baka pwede this SAt.. surplus shootout muna kasi suppose to have ST70 bi amp kaso wala tsikot si Senyor St Kimpao so si SenyOR Iceman lang may dala ng sT70 (turbocharged).. with your permission Senor Akyat.. pwede Surplus shootout muna..

Pre notice my sony cdp meron lock at the buttom gumagana pa yun sa Sony mo?? na try ko and it works it will not play pag lock.. hehehe

I've snubbed high-end but old CDP models here in Davao these past few years, but with the experiences you're sharing, I'm going back hunting for those machines. Who knows, they may have new optical lenses since I remember back in '85 when I first got my first Sony CDP, the manual said the optical lens was good only from 5 to 10 years on normal use. That was first-generation CDP lens, of course. I've actually seen mid-80s top of the line CDPs here made by Sony, Technics and Yamaha. Kung may katulong akong mag-aararo dito, I might find them buried somewhere.

Also among the Jap commercial brands, Sony is really the best with respect to CDPs (didn't they develop the CD?). Just like Sansui and Luxman for amps, Nakamichi for cassette tape players, and Micro Seiki and Denon for records decks (Technics was more of a generalist, although famous for its DD turntables, until DJs who can hardly be described as audiophiles decided the SL1200 is best for scratching, not playing, vinyls).

wow, panalo nga tlga yan sir! swerte mo dyan! mahirap lang nyan you wont be able to enjoy again thru a new source all of your cds, but whos complaining with a cdp like that, winner ka na!
