here is good news to surplus sony cdp owners who want to get inexpensive but orig sony remote controls...meron sa hmr pioneer...you just have to dig from the mound of remotes

get the ones with indication na for cd player dahil halo-halo...sells for only 99 bucks...got one and it worked with my 1983 701es...happy hunting

Here's an update:

My Onkyo surplus cdp went through another extensive makeover in it's psu section. This includes the section that supplies the motor driver and it's controllers. It's too early to do any listening tests but according to my trusted meter, the ripple artifacts throughout the supply section has already improved.

On another happier note:

Remember my Lampungan tube preamp with the blue lighted tube? I got this LED that changes it's color automatically from red, blue, violet, green, etc and guess what, I tried it! Now my tube preamp looks like a Christmas tree! Geez!

I will revert back to my more elegant blue efx before I loose my reputation or my mind!

More upgrades on my cdp coming soon...

Congrats i know that operation is another success... btw must hear yan ONkyo mo since twice already undergone operation, hope to see este hear it in our up coming session..

Sana nga pag may mas mahaba pa akong time, ma re-paint naman yun case ng Onkyo. Pero as far as sound is concerned, I noticed no no no, I heard a big improvement.
