actually, naghihinayang din akong pakawalan but a promise is a promise. it was retailed at 150,000 yen during its prime (roughly $1,400 now, but about $750 at mid '80s exchange rate). it has two sets of outputs, fixed and variable, thus could feed music signal to two amps at the same time, and is also generic-remote control compliant (track selection and volume).

i just hope the two units stay in A-1 condition when i arrive there on Friday night.

maganda yang nakuha mo. basic criteria sa akin ng mid to upscale CDP units: two sets of outputs, fixed and variable, aside from digital terminals at mabigat - over 6 kgs. which is correlated to size and quality of power transformer/s used. 8 of my 9 CDPs (Yamaha CDX-800 is the odd unit) pass that criteria. as per picture and description, nasa upscale yang unit mo, swerte ka. btw, Denon is owned by Hitachi, a global electronics giant.

Ang madalas na makati ang kamay na magbenta dito ng surplus cdp unit ay si KoYA Hans, ang balita ko may bago syang talent, baka balak na ibenta yun nauna nyan binili. Sana lang wala pa nakapila na buyers.

Gusto man kita tulungan pero kaka-upgrade ko lang ulit ng opamp nun Onkyo surplus cdp ko, try to give KoyA Hans a PM baka may cdp na sya, at least tested na at hindi ka naman nyan lolokohin eh.

sir, pareho tayo, the more brands/models you tried and owned, the more you you'll be happy that your favorite units are the best you could afford, and the best for your ears. lalo na sa akin dito sa Davao wala akong madalas ka EB sa surplus electronics kundi yung aso ko. pag tumahol once, okay. pag sunod-sunod, ayaw niya. kung sa shop binili puwede isoli, pag sa warehouse, hindi puwede.

everytime i get the itch to buy good-looking brand new units, amps, speakers or CDPs, i bring my test CDs along, pag walang improvement sa sound i hear in my room during the audition, hindi ko bibitawan ang card ko. the last time nagpa-kaskas ako ng card for brand new audio was in HK's Pacific Place in 1999. ang kunat, ano?

pro tama sila sir, sipag at tyaga lang tlga ang labanan sa pier, dnt expect to find what your looking for the 1st time, and then when you have found it, dapat masipag ka din magtest para walang sabit nakuha mo. its really a big gamble din, but it adds excitement to it na din......... its really all in the hunt.

Bro last time a went to the supermarket saw one Onkyo Integra 700 ok itong model na ito check it out kung andun pa haggle mo till 1,800 kung kaya.

nakadaan ako kanina sa pier and konti lang ang mga CDP, halos TV lahat ng binebenta duon.  Actually, 1st time ko nakapunta kanina at wala akong makita na mga high end na CDP (integra or ES models) or mali lang ang napuntahan kong mga tindahan (mga 3 lang nakita ko na may mga cdp)? 

Sabi nung isang nakausap kong tindero next week daw meron mga bagong dadating, kya lang palagi daw ubos kaagad yung mga high end models eh.
